A strand
Its all I've got
Some people have
Some people have not
A strand is all I've got

A strand
Its all I've got
Some people have little
Some people have lots
A strand is all I've got

A strand
Its all I've got
My strength is failing
Win? Nah, probably not
Because a strand is all I've got

A strand
That's all
That's all I've got
A strand is all I've got
This one is pretty self explanatory. I don't have much left to hold onto. I wanted to express that using as few words as possible. That way the poem structure relates to only having a strand as well. I love reading this one. Its exactly what I was after when I thought up the idea.

The Fall

Love is described in stories as a fall
Deep into the unknown embracing all
The little things coming your way
And the blowing wind as it rushes past your face
Many people have warned against it
Some have been caught or have been hurt by it
The bottom is dangerous they say
Love is a trap in many ways
But though I know that love hurts at times
For to say that a fall does not hurt is a lie
It is a fall I take and gladly do

That's not difficult,
That's impossible,
Which is much easier.

my poetic brilliance is nothing to boast about;
it is a curse
because the best poets
write with blood, sweat, and tears.

i hope to grow old,
someday,
and be ridiculed for my distasteful,
unwise poetry;
i won't need praise to fill a void in my heart that is meant to be youthful,
i shan't be fruitless and tired;
i will finally be happy.

at first invisible
a sudden gleam, revealed in spring:
grain of sugar in the snow
you nourish me when all else melts.
