 Mar 19 From the ashes
alia
I try, I change—never enough.
I smile, I bend—never enough.

I give my all, I break, I mend,
But nothing seems to reach the end.

I speak, I wait—never enough.
I fade, I stay—never enough.

No matter how hard, no matter how much,
I’m always too little, I’m never enough.
this is about trying so hard but still feeling like it’s not enough—no matter what I do, it feels like no one really notices. It shows how exhausting it is to keep chasing something I know I’ll never reach.
The moon and sun fall every day,
not because they failed,
but because it is
Natural.
Rise again,
And walk on two feet in midday
*Oedipus
Fill your world with love
Power is a choice
Shower your voice
To serve
To preserve kindness
Love thy neighbor
Fill your world with love
Shower your voice
Make a choice
Let it shine
Let it shine
Shower your voice
Rain splashes off the
screen door.
It's raining in
my heart
chubby little drops
splashing on my soul.
The sadness is deeper
than a lagoon,
bluer too.

There are days
it doesn't pay to
get out of bed.
Maybe,
in the next dream
I'll find my
prodigal cat.
We could listen to
Sketches of Spain,
Miles Davis knows
how to bring the lost home.

She's a black runt that
burrowed into my heart.

was to ‘Little Boy’
as a whisper
to a shout

Forever changed
the world remains
enslaved
— unto its rout

seeming inaction

on the cusp of love
riding the wave

a comfortable acceptance
way of poetry.

God is a painter
as well as poet.
So he gave you a forest
that was so thick
so you could cut down and rub together and make fire from it's sticks

He showed you how to dig up the ore . Turn it into iron to make the tools so you could do even more

You made an axe , a hammer and nails
Cut down more trees
And from his given knowledge you learned so well

So what did you do with the wood that you hewed ?
And what of the hammer and the nails , what did you do ?

You layed him on a cross of wood and hammered the nails through
Through his flesh for something he didn't do
