As midnight strikes, I wage wars
with invisible enemies
that will never breach
your side of the snow globe.
And you'll wake like my nightmares
are your dream catchers.
You'll wake and catch sunlight,
dew drops and morning air.
You are in the bubble of where
good things still happen.
You are where
I am not.

And sometimes I still wonder
how you get the better
end of the bargain,
while I only get nostalgia,
unhealthy coping mechanisms
and nuclear explosion
barren spaces in my heart.

I can't see past old horizons
and what's stuck ticking restlessly
on blank canvas walls
has always been a marker
dividing my present
from yours.

The knife hit the floor

The floor hit faces

Emotions stabbing
The motion stabbing

Even the shadow
Had blood splatter

The wall was a movie screen
Screening a movie scene

Seen moving

Those bodys
Twitching in your pupils
Memory

Woke you up
To see

The knife hit the floor
And slammed the front door
Never returning to a steak

The floor hit faces
And soaked in places
Emotions mirrored in a lake

As the blood puddled
Body's huddled
the last of the breaths
Left to take

Emotions stabbing
The motion stabbing

Even the blood splatter had a shadow

The floor hit the knife
The faces hit the floors

In a ****** puddle of life

Real true love?
I'm not sure...
I love my favorite dog
Despite her shedding hair

I so love the sun
Will you please just shine
Before I drown deeper yet
Into this sweet but bitter wine

I love the human touch
Perhaps so do you
I love the way it feels
Between two selfless fools

I'd love to believe
There exist a heaven's door
Simply crack it open
Feed the sick and poor

Love is meant for more
Than a parent for their child
Open up the floodgates
And let your love run wild

In our younger years
we would wish on shooting stars
“I wish I may, I wish…”
on the first stars we…
Shined so bright

What did we wish...
Why wouldn’t we tell...

Birthday candles
Blown out year after year
And no one will ever know
What was wished

We stopped wishing,
The stars were still there
Imaginations
Disappeared

Stars shine so bright
Never to disappear
Imagination is real
The stars are still there
Don't stop wishing

They shine so bright
