I AM A MAN IN LOVE

I am a man in love
with my  woman, a dream, to confess
to look at her face, worship
take her all in, use my eyes
my tongue, for to kiss
to speak of this, I am
a man happy, and content
my heart swells, overwhelming
for in you,  I see it all so clear
I am a man ready for love, my chance
our two bodies connect; we make  electric
feeling the heat, us; here and now as we, lie side by side
I am a man grateful believing
there isn't a day goes by
as I live  and breathe- I am a man
committing the rest of my life
to keep you on a pedestal, adored

Seven Wonders Of The World
Could soon be turned to rubble
There have been some
Political Issues
People getting their mouths into
Trouble

Pictures appear
Of the statue of liberty hiding behind
Redwood Trees
And the pharaohs from Egypt
Trying to hide behind
The Pyrenees
This is a concerning time for the petrified
violins play in the wind in the trees
and the bats sing while eating oranges
i lay still and listen
eyes closed
it's hot
and cold
but i won't move because if i do
i have to wake up
eyes closed

.....
Me
Full of life and emotion
I am like an ocean
With rocks in my depths
And the occasional hidden wrecks
I am calm in the sun
Relaxed and full of fun
But I am cold in the rain
When the water takes my brain
When I capsize from my boat
Through the clouds I like to float
Seeking dreams like we all do
Not just for me but also for you
Sometimes sulky a childlike disposition
Means my growing up is still in transition
But I do believe in good
Which I think we all should
I’m balanced but complex as you see
But that’s my vessel my soul my me
You
I write about you
But you do not exist
I don't even know you
But I wish to meet you
Bobby,
sat in a wheelchair
stares vacantly,
half of him here
and half elsewhere.

I knew him years ago
when he was a lad
running wild
liked a smoke
always good for a joke

now
sat in that wheelchair
after the stroke,
too weak to speak
he's still Bobby
though.
