dating a writer
is like guessing the weather.
you think you know what you'll get,
but you never do.

you never know
because

she'll create a hero
from your weaknesses

and she'll write a great character,
from every last flaw.

she'll create a thousand plots
from your worst nightmares.

she'll take every last thing you hate
and create something you'll love.

she'll turn your anger
into confessions of adoration,

and she'll make you,
everything you're not.

but worst of all,
she'll leave you wondering-
is it you she's in love with,
or things she's created from you?

but here's the beauty of it:

if you date a writer,
you'll never die.

I'm just going to start off with this
a fairytale that was beautiful all filled with bliss
You and I is what I miss
I miss your touch and your kiss

Perfection was never found between us
but we created it but then we fussed
I got comfortable and lazy
fueled with bitterful lust

I lied to you hurt you but where did it end?
A broken heart, tissue boxes
Love that cannot mend

To wish that I was direct
is all that I should have been
acknowledged there were problems
where else I was keen

I lost my sight of you
I lost a part of me
Thinking this was a dream
believed to have gone green.

Now that you are gone
I know that it's over
To think you and I'd come to an end
I still wish upon a four leaf clover

It was both of us
things didn't work out
nature took the course
it's not what I'm all about

I wish i'd hit send
text you what i'm thinking
but i know it'd just annoy you
the hazard lights be blinking.

I know that if this went to your phone
Our love is absolute wreckage
but I'd type backspace before you'd know it
it's just an unsent message.
I guess I'm back at it again, this is my poetry. Everything I've written is all from my mind.

Worry is the word of the century
I wasn't sure what to expect from this
what to expect from her
but the worry is eating away at me
and late at night its getting harder to fall asleep
pensive words only meant to comfort
being strong for hopefully the right reasons
being there for you when I am gone
these are what I promised you
in that lifetime past
in the new one at last
no one thinks paradise would be hell
until they live it themselves

It's a valley carved by moving water
It's a face wrinkled by time's current
It's a hike across the valley's face
It's a trek in through our granite life
It's a shout into the cool mountain air
It's a spike tracing our cloudy memory
It's a familiar echo bounced
It's a family reverberation gone
The mountain has moved
The river is still

Pray for Paris?
Why not pray for the world
Each city
Every country
Each province and state
They pray for Paris
Like they should
But pray for the world
And every hero that stood
Pray for the blood of innocence spilt
For this war of belief and silt
Pray for the world in this game of money and power
Pray for the world
To stop these extremes
You can keep your beliefs
But taking innocent lives?
Those people crossed the lines
Not all Muslims are evil
Not all roses are red
So pray for the world
For all who are dying
For all who are dead
