Merry Christmas
Have a drink
To giving without receiving
For nothing feels better
Than sharing your humanity
Cheers

Silence the night
The thunder of war
Explosions on camera
   Bodies and gore...
Displaced people
With nowhere to go
Violence and hate
   At its lowest of lows...
Silence the night
Steady and long
Why do we allow
   This night to go on...

I arranged these words
In a emotional array
To match the hue
Of the color grey
Seasons Greetings
Worlds apart
May the night be silenced
Within your hearts
...
Traveler Tim
Very unrestful season I'm afraid.

Broken was the way it felt,
Betrayal was a word on the edge.
But known it was that,
Fault there wasn't any.

No promises were made,
there was no meeting of minds.
So how to enforce,
a contract never made.

Naive it is to brood.
Lost one has,
only a perception.
But is 'only' a word apt?

Belief without understanding,
that's how to term it.
The perception one had,
a perception based on facts incomplete.

Answer I can't,
because vanity still holds,
me in its grip tight.

in the dark
compass spinning
wanton wind
howling, wailing
brittle arms
in concert waving
emerald waters
whipped and raging

sky crushed velvet
sequins sewn tight
to the shattered
span of night
a million times
each time as new
with stardust eyes
with gratitude

Words

We live in a wired and weird world
where meanings of our words
are paper-thin tissue and torn
tarnished and worn by wear and War.
