Kevin played in the park
on that warm summer day
he and his friend Mandy
disappeared on that day

ten years later the parents of the kids
live in hope of a re-appearance of their beloved kids
still the police can't find any leads
the only clue to the case was Mandy's bracelet beads

parents saddened
distraught
and so upset
their kids
disappearing
without an inkling
hoping
to again see
their little faces twinkling
25/05/2014 is International Missing Children's Day.

I write
because I cannot speak.
I cannot say these things in front of you,
I cannot peel apart my ribs and expose my heart.
To do so would **** me.
but on paper, I only bleed.

Take countless photos, when the mood so inspires.
You may as well have not even thrown the shutter.
For the things that move you right in this moment,
Will not adhere to the chemistry of film
Will not flip one single electronic switch
Cannot be stored, except in the mind,
(A shoddy storage medium)
For the sight of your face,
Your beautiful otherness
Mingling with me in the air in between us-
( As you try to pick my nose… )
Your head is on my shoulder,
Heavy with sleep
And trust, always growing,
As your eyelids drop lower
My arm, sore, bends to raise you up.
I’m relishing the time
To be quiet, close, and still.
When I can find, in my heart,
All the words that mean something,
Not tossed about casually, in the noise of the day.
Children turn you into a media machine, hell-bent on capturing the way you feel all the time.  Give it up, it's impossible!  Seriously, though make sure to enjoy the moment and don't miss it by trying too hard to preserve it.  The title refers to blue lines used in old technical drawings that were, essentially, invisible to a camera when you went to photograph the drawing, but still visible to the eye.  That is, something impossible to capture.

Her number again
"It looks bad on paper"
He couldn't leave her out
  Tucked away
He saved her

Who ever she is
She ran off with his heart
& the knowledge of this
Is tearing mine apart

   She's the one
      That got away
& I'm the runner up
Attempting to mend
    Two broken hearts
Hoping
         Love
   Is enough

Society says* I'm ugly
But I say I'm beautiful
Society says I'm dumb
But I say I'm intelligent
Society says I'm fat
But I say I'm the perfect size for Me
Society says I have too many flaws
But I say they make me who I am
Society kills me
But I remain alive
*Society says but I say different

Two adversaries, exactly the same
Both I let in
Inside my house
Disguised as friends
The first bid their time, sat inside
They stole the china
The photos
My keepsakes
And set fire to the floorboards
Before they left

The second came along just later
Carrying tools and aid
We rebuilt my home around me
And then we sat inside
They smiled each day
And shook my hand freely
But one night they stole
Not a possession
But into my home at night
And ran their blade across my neck
