Moon and stars
Describes ancient wars
Of me and you
In sublime arts.
Karan Sherwal Dec 2021
From embarrassment to compliment,
Paving my corridor with excitement
Always acknowledged as an amateur
Be that way that's what I make sure
So I roam like a ghost around,
Autonomous spirited inside the bound
Lately, narratives floating on surfaces
I see me then altering faces
Fortunate times with fortunate places
Am I a fool or are these phases.

Because you don't want to be protected,
Just want to be pampered,
Dominance is not the way for you,
You all have your individuality.
We are beings ever since we took birth
The only place to inhabit is earth
Let's make our life worth.

And all the pride in the world,
Those huge walls,
Reaching skies as it falls
I'm not interested in banging my head
As good as being dead
Free from worldly realms
Persuasion imbalance
We are only a moment, mate!
Conspiring to spiritual date
Take a moment, just wait
While I write my audience contemplate.

The hunger which stars have
For the skies,
The thirst possessed by this land,
All come down to what?
That my love has no why's
Neither hair nor hand,
I dwelled upon the site of yours
Like sunbeams through water droplets
Or reflection over the frost,
Now I will demand intimacy
Perhaps with privacy
For it will balance the delicacy
For us to be an eternal bond.

~
Eulogy of the heart
in a locket around her throat
all the little memories
of sun and moon
of wind and rain
recited by bruised lips
that took the euphony
of his kisses
to mean him a lover
of such beautiful things
but will-o'-the-wisp was he
as so mistaken was she

For often, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
