Let's combine our powers
Then we won't defeat us
Wade in wonders, memories and time machines
Rewind the hours
I'll teach numbers you say words
We'll reach a grade of genius
We could be an A

Let's go and perform with the dinosaurs
The crowd will go wild
Then I kind of thought we could birth a sausage
Doggedly solving crimes of sorts
Possibly go back even further to the beginning
I've never been in the prime before BC
We could be in A

Don't like the SciFi stuff?
Then Great Scott let's go back to the forest
My sources tell me it's new
If you don't hate a view we can go wide-eyed
Be one with the horses sorry ponies
If only we could talk to them
We could be a neigh

The Pup would be tired. Pooped
Perhaps we'd all require recuperation
To remain stationary
Or we could carry on
Should our wonky legs become carrion
Donkeys will help us or we collapse in the trees with no phone
At least we'd be alone
We could be NA

But how can we get up when we can't stand ourselves?
If your knee is weak use mine. Can I use your hip?
My entire right side is over and apart
I'm hoping you could be my other half and we'll rise together
Until our eyes our better. Drier.
We'll hold our healed hands and lean shoulder to shoulder
We could be an A.

Not quite a teen
Land of maple syrup, winter dreams and moose

Five star escape to fancy cars, spruced beverages and limousines

She floats by me
In her high vis
A fire marshal glow

Admire in silence
Time to try this
To know her on her own

We are the music
My heart, is skewered.
A raspberry marshmallow

Her lifes a picture
And though I'm with her
A part of me's alone

I just can't take the burning

No I haven't earned it

How can she be this perfect?

Can't face this blazing furnace

Why can't she see I'm worthless?

Flee from the light
Seek empty night
Keep the searing far away

Bear the weight and
Wear her sacred
Swear to worship all the pain

Write a bad verse
Don't send those sad words!
Just let her know when you're okay

A burning ember
I remember!
See how bright the sparks will glow

You can't put me out fire marshal no

I can burn all on my own
She made me marshmallows.

Freedom is in bed.

It remains inside, the inconsequential meadow

Blooming nonsense in it's head

A chamber of inconsistent echo

Its been long since when this mister heard hello

Well over zoom or facetime or skype I suppose...

I think all those aren't the same I prefer real life

But who am I to complain?

I just wanna see your nose wrinkle.

i love
this thing
that we're doing

who knows
who knew
who in the world

its fun though
isnt it?

you see me
not that me
the actual me

i see you
casually nova
shine unfurled

we're both a
kind of
burned

keep me warm
curl around and
cover me

you found
another me

we can
turn
us around
together

"oh my god that ***"

a poor sum, of how I like you
to rhyme, is more fun

verse of love

caught on words...

Flattery is not worth enough

so bound, by delight

I hum, to an unfamiliar, profound, dynamite wonder.

A little explanation. This was written for my girlfriend. I woke up from a dream in which I had written a haiku about her but all I could remember is it ended in "Oh my god that ***". She loves poems so I thought I'd try and write a proper one but I have not written before so please let me know what you think. :)
