Today you Are
Yesterday you Were
Tomorrow you will Be
Yet
Never Ever Forever
You will be

Today You Are
Yesterday You Were
Tomorrow You will Be
And
Forever
You can Be
My friend failed the appointment
and I had this man beside me
with untimely heavy woolen
peering into the condensed haze
of that October evening.

Being alone is scary,
the hoarse voice melted the silence
and being alive sometimes scarier
than not being
,

he paused as if
the words had drained him

when you hope it the most
and none turns up
to feel and fill you
.

The fog had almost devoured the halogen
leaving me only with the voice.

It's uneasy, I spoke at last,
isn't it weird to be talking
without being seen
?

Not in the least,
his laughter rattled the slumberous air
the world long turned away its face
from the face beside you
.

Trick or Treat

We bask in light when morning comes, yet tremble in the night.
Halloween must be the cause to give us such a fright.
Ghosts and goblins haunt the streets where moans and chains abound.
Ghouls and vampires lurk in shadows, scared of holy ground.
Werewolves stalk unwary victims. Frankenstein is loose.
Ogres, trolls and spectral zombies hanging by a noose,
Gorgons with their "stoney" eyes and bats with leathery wings...
Mummies wrapped in yellowed cloth with rotting flesh that clings,
Pirates, gangsters, space invaders, just to name a few,
All in search of "Tricks or Treats"(or just a head...or two).
Beware the time when darkness comes. Be sure the door is locked.
But most of all .... to just be safe ... keep lots of candy stocked.
Happy Halloween

It is as silent as night
It has no cue and it has no hue,

You have no clue of how to handle it;

It is not a choice, but it is the darkest part of emotions bottled up.

It comes as a wolf under sheep's wool, it comes at your brightest moments,

It comes undone and done at the same time that leaves you empty;

You are then left with darkness with no light, no hope and no end.

Start of the holiday
Off to find some sun
On our way to zante the Greek island of fun

Leaving Bristol airport
Weaving across the English Channel
Over France and Germany flying
At 35000ft
Looking out the window at all that is below

The Dolomites mountains sprawling in front and below
Their peaks capped in glorious snow
Sun swathed villages sit nestling at their feet
Huge lakes of water glistening like gold
How I wonder what life is like 35000ft below

What do the villagers do for jobs?
How do they get by?
Do they drive cattle or cars?
Or do they ride a pony or horse?
Do they work the land, toil with their hands?
Do they drive to the supermarket buy everything they need?
Or do they grow their vegetables starting from seed?
Do their children go to school or do they run in packs, learning the skills of life, learning how to track.

Is their life a simple one, unfamiliar to you and I?
Do they see planes and wish that they could fly?
Do they dream of being doctors, nurses, politicians and the like.
Do they dream of traveling by car, plane, road or bike?

Do they dream of travelling to places far and wide, experiencing adventures new?
Or are they happy nestling at the feet of the Dolomites simply enjoying life - as you and I should do.
Written at 35000ft the view of the Dolomites was absolutely breathtaking

The world is over-sensitive
to China's loud-sounding ****
when bad economic news it announces
it threatens to tear Wall Street apart.
