I do not like to smile
I do not have much to smile about
Yes I am alive
But so are the evils of the world
So much pain and grief
Smiling is something you do out of relief
I have yet to feel relieved
Smiling will not end the suffering
People laugh at your smile
People hate when you smile
People will make sure you never smile again
I do not like to smile
Smiling is something you do with a lover
or a friend

She gave me space
But I was already empty

She gave me food
But I was already full

She gave me a fan
But I was already cool

She gave me love
But I was a fool

Do you know how it feels to be alone
all your life
wasted years and countless tears
wondering if you'll ever feel the feeling of love and company
that everyone else seems to have
yearning for a companion to vent to, make love to, and cheer you up
it's different when you've already experienced it
you've already had your fill of the pie
the rest are left empty, starving and left to die
all alone
they weren't as lucky as the rest
they don't have the looks or the confidence
they are thrown away like outcast
Society doesn't care how you feel
they bully the unloved
and wonder why they become mentally ill
I wish I had my fill of the pie
but I'll probably just die
all alone
