to me you are a star of gold
a glowing asterisk
I wish I could hold
though you seem so far away
I truly wish we could meet some day
but alas we shall only meet
through our words,
spilling and falling across this page.
we are the unseen family
bound by art
which is better
because we dwell in the heart
Come to me and stay a while
Let's share a drink or two
Sit back relax enjoy yourself
That's all you need to do

Go ahead and take a nap
I'll wake you in a few
With a meal prepared for you and I
And a table set for two

I want to make you happy
For more than just a day
And show you that I love you
     In every possible way

What I'm really trying to say
Is I want to make you mine
If only for a little while
     Like maybe just a lifetime.

aged bodies
the payment of years
lived
Hearts as big as engines
expanded by love
self giving
They walk side by side
in- step in-tune
that old couple know more of loving
than any youngsters alive
We found mutual love
while rolling around in grass
wearing daisy bracelets
imagination took us;
American Cowboys and Indians
this was our first awakening;
we always took the side of the Indians
from a small beginning
I loved your big heart
lets do something unique she says
while dragging me by the hand
if the sun
doesn't embrace you with warmth
then i will.

if the leaves
don't blush red and fall for you
then i will.

if the flowers
don't bloom and burst for you
then i will.

if the ocean
doesn't sing you to sleep
then i will.

and if this poem
doesn't love you
then i will.
I am the bookshelf, and she is the books.
So many interesting stories inside of her.
I watch you every single day, scoop up a new book,
and leave my shelves more empty than before.

As the books leave my shelves, I imagine all the places you take them.
Coffee shops, with comfy lounge chairs and the constant reassurance from the espresso beans.
Parks, with a nice breeze and picnic to compliment the sweet words that pour into your mind.
Home, where you gush about how wonderful your newest story is, and bring her safely to the solitude of your bedroom.

But I am the bookshelf, and I will provide a sturdy environment,
I am strong and I've held myself together for so long.
I listen, I watch, and I wait for you every single day,
and will continue to do so until my shelves can't bear it anymore.
love, your favorite bookshelf
Clocks turn and
Stars burn but
Out in space
Shouts are silent.

Man is violent.
**** and face
My demons
Rage is blazing.

Shake the cage.
Steal your age,
**** it and
Take if you must.

Just survive.
Alone rocks
Mountain tops
Are dust to Us.

Your Lord's speak.
Death and dark
Surround us,
No one escapes.
