Beyond the stratosphere
A majestic cosmos fruitions
And radiates light
That burgeons in the human heart divine
Despite being infinite light-years away

Beneath source, the final destination, the one and all
Young mystics ascend, their quest
Anointed with the approval of saints
Fully formed spirits pure as the core of a star
That transcend the transience of mortal incarnation
In their rebellious existence

Above the world, itself an illusion
Cosmic, angelic entities
A multifaith pack traversing a heavenly trajectory
Zoom, twirl and pirouette
In stunning array
Like light is to day

The order of the cosmos
Adhering to laws of nature
Themselves yielded partially to human knowledge in abstractions,
Theory, which, whilst awesome to behold
Eviscerates the spirit of the cosmos by objectifying it
And isolating it's elements in fractions
The scientist's sin

Their schemes have jilted and jaded the sky
Once supreme
The crown of a dream
Verse 1:

Do you ever pause to realise how half the world's asleep
Do you deny the facts about the beast that makes my sweet lord weep
Do you march to the beat of dark masters who mesmerise us fools with powerful illusions
Or do you bang revolutions drum, free from mass psychosis, societal delusions
Do you think we have the time left to save the world from ruin
Do you feel compelled to noble fight to preserve the heaven you and your friends grew in
Do you feel ready to regain control of your thoughts, restore your mind's sovereignty
Do you see right through the mystery of history thwart with lies of plenty

Chorus:

Do you remember the spark inside your heart
Do you remember how they killed it
Do you remember them tearing it apart
Do you comprehend how they coldly willed it
Do you want to vibe with me tonight
Do you want me to reveal what's real and true
Do you want the lies and games to fight
Or do you choose to them to stick like glue

Verse 2:

Do you want to rub the horseshit off of your beleaguered soul's fine jewel
Do you want to shine, dazzling, divine, despite and to spite the rule of the cruel
Do you want to personify love, a blessing, crystallised in mortal, corporeal form
Do you, arms akimbo, embrace the healing light, so white, so calm, so warm
Do you crave authentic connection this world is lacking
Do you fear for the ones the deep state is tracking
Do you feel overjoyed to realise the cosmos resists the grip of control
Do you rejoice in that truth for it works to salvage our consciousness and make it whole

How do I fathom a rainbow?
Dreaming, rocking to and fro?
We are the bards, see how we go,
Our path takes us high and low

Do I dissect its composite colours like Newton,
Captured in a noble prism, sounds similar to prison
Or do I reverently give gratitude that it is available to my perception
Rage the fury blaze, symbol of life's circular direction

The truth of 'bows iridescent beauty hath rapt us in throe
The torch of power liberated from lordly grip be ours to hold
In streams of dreams and fires of gold
Sat beneath the cosmic arch brooding in desire and woe

There’s nothing left inside me
That could keep me coming back
Was once a hand to my cheek
Now it’s a bullet to my back.

The skin, it might heal over
And no one might ever know
But the bullet will remain
With a warning to bestow.

I wouldn’t say I’m stronger
I’ve been weakened from the pain
But the weakness is a lesson
Don’t make the same mistake again.

Our choices mark our fragile skin
They cannot be erased
For some they fade over time
But no one is unscathed.

Lessons are not always learnt
Some marks are layers deep
For those that disregard the burn
The marks will further seep.

And sometimes when we’re careless
A mark that’s not our own
Can transfer from another’s skin
And tarnish all we’ve known.

Is it the tree’s fault that lightening struck?
After all it stood up so tall
Its leaves rustled, beckoning
Unwavering in the wind
Daring to look strong
Taunting the rain
Practically
Asked for
It.

The beauty of the written word,
I can capture on this page.
It tells the story of my pain,
It encapsulates my rage.

I can pen a verse to spite you.
I can weave a tapestry,
That can make one feel my sorrow
And how I was treated unjustly.

As when I write, one will learn
What I wish for them to know.
Cemented forever in this ink,
Is what I choose to show.

So in a way I pity you,
With your spoken word so clear.
So powerful in the moment,
But with the wind will disappear.

While over time my thoughts won’t fade,
Though in the moment I was weak.
The published word says volumes,
More than you could ever speak.

Its hard to deny the thought
you won't always be here,
because you won't.
One day I'll post if people want to mark your passing
they should get to a place
where your gone leaves that dreaded space.
But not right now:
now we can laugh
and you can hold my hand with love
as I'm getting off the bus,
we can argue about the merits of giving titbits
to that little tabby ****.
We can arrange to meet for dinner
in a greasy spoon
and after our fill of calories part with the words "I'll see you soon."
We can chat about football and how City win supreme,
you can peck my head
about if I'm keeping my flat clean.
Of all this I want more
but for the now
I'll be glad
that when people ask what I did last night
I'll reply that I went for drinks with my Mum and Dad.

Never won

the money lottery yet,

not that prone to gamble, flutter or bet,

sans engaged with bingo or slot machines,

uninterested in the coin toss of fifty fifty dreams.

But I should,

cos I'm lucky:

in the trillions, billions and millions of folk in the world

our paths crossed

and made my life journey better;

I cherish every letter

of your name:

so glad you're here,

so glad you came.

People say to me

"you're always happy you, you always have a smile""

And they're right, right now in this moment I do smile,

because in this time of a little while

all is content,

and Heaven sent:

my Hazel shines wonderfully, with all the bright in her heart,
Amber never stops scampering her dreamself from the morning's start,

my Mum and Dad look healthy, going away seems far from their door,
and angry Poppet wags her tail
but then gives me that cat face i adore.

My many amazing friends are astounding, I love them as much as an eye wants to see,
and I blush with the bloom of joy when they want to hang around with me.

So when people say

"you're always happy you, you always have a smile""

I think,

well course I am,

this beautiful life is running wild.
