I got three kitties worrying their mama.  Tonight they began  moving around  playing and climbing up couches and biting each others bellies and mama was so fretting. I told her , as I picked her up and put her on my keyboard , that was you once , she laid down and seemed to get calm. She heard me when I said that you were small once, just starting out, Babay. Then you grew up , and gave me these. It will all be ok. She purred and with her paw touched the keyboard, typing, an exclamation point!
my Father can truly be described as an 'Old Timer'
his numbered birthdays are many
Its awful to say but you expect the phone call any day
and have done for years
He is the last of his generation of relatives
the oldest still alive
its a strange kind of waiting and expectation mixed together, like a great aged cycle of life is being fulfilled and is very close to coming to its end.
If i don't rise in blooming spring
Ring the doorbell of the gone
Cut off every string i have
Please unbind my ghost from earth
Shoot me flowers to the moon
Let me know i lived in you
Let me know i mattered once
***finding my poem on the daily was truly a nice surprise*** Thank you  wonderful poets
I've kept this pain away.
Held it at bay,
since the day
of Your
unwanted
touch.

Now You are old.
I take care,
as this is My loving
duty. Reversal of
roles.

Time has stilled
the tremors
of angst.
Turmoil and
discomfort.

Yet, when bothered,
Your harsh tones
enter My body
and heart,
unwanted.

Perturbation
with words,
accusations that
I was the
troubled one...

Grown Woman
that I am,
I find myself
11 years old
once again

I hauled clay
for days
to fill the deep
washout of our love
and all your old loves
who bled to death
too, I even searched
the cold evenings
of your eyes
and ran my fingers
through your moonlight
while tasting the blood
of strangers on your lips
but I would have
to have a backhoe
and a crowbar
to finally get down
to the heart
of the matter at night
and in the rain
though I'm afraid
I would only find
a deep dark cave
with blind starfish
like those I see
swimming in
the cold sky tonight.
