South-by-Southwest
Down by the river
Fog dances and swirls
To mists in thought

Down by the river
Swims the desires
we keep hidden deep

Down within the river
Flows the hardwired
reality that speaks

Dance fleet shadows
of souls heavenly
they seek

Down by the river
ache and heartbreak
forms swirling clouds

Down by the river
rising from the tears
we weep loud

Let us dance
our lives radiant , free . . .
Down by the river
Inspised by the music of Shakey Graves

Like Icarus
I flew to close to the sun
my wings of wax melted
and great was the sorrow.
My sun
we lit the match from both ends
and watched as my wings and fingers burned.
You were beautiful my sun, my wonderful wonderful love
but we were not meant
not meant to love
and so my sun
my lovely sin
I must say goodbye
This poem means so so much more.  I understand now.  I understand.

you
Scoop me up and out
leave me with nothing but the pale silhouette of touch
All I want is to speak with you
understand your mind
carry your hand inside mine

A Woman's beauty lies in a man's love
A Man's beauty lies in a woman's care
When both become two bodies with one soul
An aura of divine relation shines
Making it a pleasant vision of life!

Memories of our first date still
reside in my coat pocket.
Tiny stars on my *******
remind me of how I waited
for someone to make me feel
like the sky was made so that we could lay together
and name stars after each other.
I'll always think of your laugh
and how somehow you get it into your mind
that I've done something cute
and it makes me kind of incredibly happy
in a silly giddy, seeing stars, get dizzy, smile stretching way
kissing my hands my head and fingers
you make me feel so comfortable being myself
in the little while I have seen your kind face
I have felt the most happy and the most wanted

My pride
 Oct 2016 Ja
Thomas
I stand here alone,
Unable to speak,
My back turned pretending pride,
As my mother walks away,
My heart dies as I want to help her ,
But I keep walking,
My dam pride forcing me to step farther away,
I can't grasp control of my body,
What am I proud of,
Nothing,
I walking away achieves nothing,
So I turn around and let go of my pride,
"Mom,"
The tears that well in my eyes as she turns around,
"I'm so sorry mom, I..."
But she silences me as I am embraced by her body.
It's a poem

in their formative years*
these stars burnt bright
movie theatres took them
on a stratospheric flight

they became famous
for being kids of talented nerve
the rolling camera's
showing their dynamic verve

yet the tinsel clad images
weren't portraying the true self
child actors were a studio's
road to greedy pelf

when reaching the teenage
period of their existence
drugs and alcohol plagued them
with much persistence

something was absent
as they grew to adulthood
littleĀ or no care given by
pushy parents in their childhood

tiny stars that once twinkled
did fall ******* the ground
their careers in dream flicks
bought them all unbound

Hollywood's picture factory
wasn't substantive in its part
which left many juveniles
*to feel so aggrieved of heart
