You are my coffee
Not just in the morning
You keep me awake even at night
With thought of you that's never ending
Thank you for chosing this piece for the Daily.  This is my first so I am so happy, grateful and more inspired to write.
She covered herself
In white silk
It irritated her skin
But made her beautiful

Someone had to see
Everyone has to see
She danced in the wind
Silk flowing all around

She smiled and laughed
The people watched
Like she was a show
Little did they know
The silk that made her
So **** beautiful
Was slowly killing her.
No idea what this was
I'm giving my heart to you,
Knowing you will destroy it.
That's a chance I'm willing to take.
I don't give too many people the opportunity to demolish me
But I'm giving it to you.
Preparing for the worst,
Hoping for the best,
All along knowing
Its not my heart you want.
And I'm still offering it to you.
I'll give my all to you,
Just to see you smile.
That gorgeous smile is seared into my memory.
Its like seeing the sun for the first time.
So warm and bright.
I'd sell my soul to the devil,
Just to wake up to your smile everyday.
That smile, that I know will be the death of me.
I'd always hated cigarettes
At least until I watched you smoke
Icy hands and thin red lips
I'm convinced that you were determined to ruin me
Because every smile that you gave me made me want to join you
Out on the back porch, cigarette in hand
I no longer associated the smell of smoke with sickness, but with pretty thoughts of you
Your laugh
Your smile
The butterflies I got when your eyes locked with mine
God, I love you and your cigarettes
