sometimes when
no one checks
the group chat
for awhile and
there’s no one
else on-
it feels like you’re
just talking in an
empty theatre- waiting.
waiting for anything.
a “read” notification,
a typing bubble-
a sign that you’re
not alone-
anything...

By sharing my poem on this site,
It is easy to lose what I write.
So focused on notification,
I forget all about application.
Even when I share this ink,
My automatic response is to think
Of how many views or likes it may get.
Soon enough my own message I forget!
May I never lose a poem again,
From now until forever. Amen.

Without your presence my room was dark,
Whenever I close my eyes, I felt irony black shade without seeing your snap,
Even my mobile screen was dark without your message,
Entire heavenly body was ebony without you !!
Then you came like a twinkling star of my room, my world !
When I get notification of your text !

I love when my phone lights up.

Calls, texts, notifications.

I love to see when someone cares enough to check on me,

To see how I am,
To love me.

I love when my phone lights up,

Because I've gotten much too good at memorizing the darkness.
Light me up
