caress my cheek, darkness please.
cover my body in flame and dip myself in acid.
ill bow to fear and loathing.
moonlight reborn, bathed in stars.
ill dive into the midnight pool, to cleanse me of my sins.
the current grabs my body, wrapping both my legs.
i feel the pull, of underground, and fight the urge to fight.
i look up to see a quarter moon through the waves.
with my last sigh, i let out soft bubbles of breath.
shortly after, eyes still wide open, i hit rock bottom.

The light always fades and goes
The darkness comes to chase it away
Bringing the shadows, my old foes
I'm just hoping to last another day

This night has no stars, no moon
This night lasts longer than it should
This night wreaks havoc like a typhoon
This night is often misunderstood

What brought on this eternal eclipse?
Can no one else see its shadow?
I'm all alone in this apocalypse
The casualties of joy overflow

It seems the sun will never rise
It seems the light has been destroyed
It seems hope and joy always flies
It seems like life is an empty void

Ripples of Darkness
I tire, weary from the day
Nightmares sail forward
Through a storm of closed eyelids

Eyes flutter, dare I sleep now
Visions, lightless creatures
They call to me, more rather
I am sure it is a scream

Haunting me like absent words
The ones which I've buried
That creative self, once more
But we rise again, always

I let these spectres wail
Who am I to stop creation
Paint the horrific, vibrant dusk
And I'll admire this truth
