The stars in the sky have nothing on the ones in your eyes.
As I watch the crimson flow corrupt the freshly fallen snow,
I feel you against me, as the bitter winds blow us about.
I knew then, that only you could stop me, and help me come alive.

lady of the river indus
they killed you in the evening
they killed you out of love
and the stains that they couldn't wash off of you
they put your head in the water
and let you struggle for breathe
they waited for it to reach your lungs
to fill your mouth
to wash off the words, and emotions
and demands you made,
from mother sindh,
lady of the river indus,
you shouldn't have done so,
you should have let it be,
for they killed you in the evening,
but they could not **** you in my dream.
and now I shake, and feel I'm drowning,
above are the heads of men, surrounding
telling me they want to wash me,
and remove the mud off me.
And Gaza Says," O the Sons of Adam
The people of Moses
The people of Muhammad
Stop Will You?

I feel the Tankers on my body
They are trampling me

I hear the Missiles
They pierce through My Soul

I see the tearful Widows
the cries of the children
Fear in the Eyes
the Funerals

I hear the pleas
I hear the screams
the cries for help
the prayers
the curses
the complaints to the Almighty

Blood is Smeared on to My Face
Human blood- a Precious blood
The blood of Adam

I am ploughed
often daily
to bury the lifeless
the young
the old
the men
the women
the infants

I see debris,destruction
devastation
the helplessness

I feel the hatred
in your hearts
your words
translated through your actions

I wonder
Why are the innocents paying the price
of this War?

O Sons of Adam
O the Sons of Abraham
Don't Forget
O You the People of Moses
O You the People of Jesus
O You the People of Muhammad
Your Lord
Your God
is but One

Fear Him

He hates Oppression

Did you all
forget
the Fate of the Pharaoh?

the Worst of the Oppressors."

I was crowded by the beggars

One of them said," Lovers are the melancholic beggars".

I would paint your sky a thousand colors, if I could
And inspire the restlessness in your heart;
I would give to you a million stars, if I could
If I could, I'd gift you a new start.
Wishes that are left ungranted
Always will be one,
Past your calloused builder's hands
And whispers from your tongue.

This last wish arrested by
Our Kingdom Come and fade;
Different men have matching paths--
First cradle, then the grave.

Righteous living leads to dying--
Wrongful life, the same.
Men and suns and stars and saints
Are all by sleep contained.

My wish is for deathlessness
With you at home to greet.
Carry me to constancy
With talons on your feet.
I can't stop thinking about dying lately.
I don't know how you do it,
How you're both so big and small.
I fell just as the leaves did;
I for you and them for Fall.

I've never given so much
And received much in return,
But you've turned that around;
Shown me that love is grown and earned.

Your breathing in the nighttime;
Your clock beside the bed;
Your sleeping speech of nonsense;
Your image in my head.

I don't know how you do it,
How you're both so big and small.
I fell just as the leaves did;
I for you and them for Fall.
Old churches smell of Camphor

New churches get febreezed

New churches have soft benches

Old churches wreck your knees

Old churches have stained windows

New churches have foam walls

Old churches fill you up with dread

New churches look like malls

New churches have young pastors

Old churches, not so much

New churches have no feeling

Old churches hurt to touch

Old churches scream religion

New churches whisper "Hi"

New churches aren't forboding

Old churches make you cry

New churches full of speakers

Old churches you just yell

New churches all have daycare

Old churches threaten hell

Old churches full of people

New churches full of young

New churches and new hymnals

Old churches,,bells are rung

Old churches make you wonder

New churches keep you cool

New churches...air conditioned

Old churches are a jewel

Old churches...God is power

New churches...God's a friend

New churches....rules are broken

Old churches do not bend

Old churches are my background

New churches I don't know

Old churches full of stories

New churches full of show

Old churches there's confession

New churches there is not

New churches you say sorry

Old churches...it gets hot

New churches have no devil

Old churches he is there

New churches full of comfort

Old churches just to scare

No matter what religion

Be it new or be it old

Faith is one commitment

Forever,you should hold

Old churces are my favorite

New churches quench a thirst

But if I had a choice of one

I'd pick the old church first.
