Georgia Williams Jun 2015
I want someone who will comb my hair
Because he knows I like sensation of the bristles on my scalp and neck
I want someone who will never leave me dancing alone
And I'll never have to dance by myself to another Stevie Wonder song
We'll cook buttery pasta and put too much cheese on our sandwiches
We'll cure eachother's sadness with a single loving stare
That someone will come along
But for now I wait
Georgia Williams Nov 2014
every night
around 2:00
(am)
i experience something
that has become unwavering

whether i was happy
innocently clutching
to a warm, strong hand
or utterly terrified
running away
from a past regret

this something
or someone
tears me away
from those dreams
from the already hazy visions
that toy with me
my head
and my heart
as they please

i wrinkle my nose with displeasure
release a pressured sigh
and finally return to sleep
with a new perspective
on that warm, strong hand
or past regret
just from a moment
of sheer reality
Georgia Williams Nov 2014
i watched you
absorbed each gesture
those tiny and delicate branches
nearly contiguous within
your fragile frame

your bones

nearly graze one another
yet so gracefully sweep and pass
into every pose or stance
beneath such warm, inviting skin
what is blood
what are muscles
when I can follow your bones
Georgia Williams Nov 2014
we talked through the night
of love and future lovers
but never of us
Georgia Williams Nov 2014
i loved your torn heart
but she lingered on your lips
i couldn't mend it
