I left you all alone
you promised, baby you promised
That we would keep this relationship
I wanted to defend this beautiful land
I nearly sacrificed my life for a command
But I'm back

Back in the same home
Same phone
Yet the frames are left unknown
Who's this man in this picture
And why the **** is there a child in the picture?
Who is there to blame
Everything isn't left the same
I used to know everything about you
Now I question if you still have the same last name?
I'm not sure about what your life has become
or if you even remember me
But I'm back.

I see you and your new man walk through the door
I swear, I don't think your eyes could of grown some more
The shock and terror in your face
Never would you of thought that you'd see me again
A child walks through the door
You broke our promise
"I thought that you were dead"
Excuses come in the race
I've been calling for the past month
Without any response
But I'm back
Just a little poem in the perspective of a Soldier that comes back after years of protecting his country just to realize that his girlfriend broke their commitment.

I'm telling you, what we had was true love
Slowly fading away...

— The End —
