I don't need a special day.
Poetic justice Jun 2020
I don't need a special day to bring you to mind, The days I do not think of you are very hard to find.

Each morning when I awake I know that you are gone, And no one knows the heartache as I try to carry on.

My heart still aches with sadness and secret tears still flow, What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.

My thoughts are always with you, Your places no one can fill.

In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still.

The lonley old man.
Poetic justice Jun 2020
The man lays on the side of the road,
Looking raggedy and feeling old,

Bandanna on his head,
And wearing ripped jeans,

His mind thinks back,
to the good times in his teens,

In the heat of the day,
He sits and he sings.

Only his guitar for company,
As he plucks at the strings,

In his hey day, he had lived like a king,
Now he sits alone counting his sins,.

Remembering all the people, who have come and gone,
Sometimes the days can seem so long,

In a blink of an eye life can change,
So be kind to other's, As you bask in your glory,

Don't be so quick to judge,
Because we don't know their story.
As t accidentally posted my draft of this poem a few days ago , I thought I'd post the finished version now. Hope you enjoy.

Tainted love
Poetic justice Nov 2020
As my heart grows ever more cold,,

I'm becoming a person,
That was never foretold

Your actions becoming increasingly bold,

Your hand is getting harder to hold

And now i am aware of the lies that you sold,

Our love is beginning to unfold.

Take a look,
deep into your mind,
Don't be afraid,
you will be surprised what you find.

There is a lot that lays beyond your exsteria,
Your brain holds a lot of criteria,
Give yourself credit,
You're far more superior.

Imagine if we could use our knowledge,
to do better things,
Instead of getting in line like,
puppets on strings.

So let your mind unwind,
Stay alert, but be kind,,
the eye's are useless,
If the mind is blind

Freedom of speech,
Gives us the
freedom to teach,
As long as we can get past
The political leach,
We need to open people's eyes,
There are many to reach,
But it's all pointless,
If we don't live,
by the words that we preach.

Who's with me ?
Poetic justice Jul 2020
All this hyped up glam and glitz
giggly girls break down in fits
these mascara clad boys devoid of wits
The shallower they go,  the deeper it gets

Sillouettes lacking inner angles and lines...
The substance goes absent when the light shines...
Plotless drama without direction, still winds
These tragically bad fads spread like vines

Overrun with Reality shows depicting what's REAL
A mass zombie audience digesting their meal
Not In, but outside, this box they soften like veal
Staring at a screen that numbs how they feel

When did the war on intelligence start?
Losers not knowing that losing's not smart...
Cable providers gladly doing their part
News channels selling half-truth ala carte

I will be a rebel and fight for your mind
Hiding remote-controls where they won't find
Trading entertainment for knowledge in kind
Giving books out to the voluntarily blind

It's gonna be a BATTLE!!!  WHO'S COMING WITH  ME ?

Poetic justice Jul 2020
This world is unkind
Its full of venomous minds
These people go around committing terrible crimes,
and in time,
Compassion of humanity has gone into decline,
the way we treat each other sends a shiver down my spine,
these are dark times ,
and many of us are failing to shine, my heart is breaking as I'm writing this rhyme,
I dream of world that is pure and divine,
I don't know what to do,

we need to wake up people,

Poetic justice Oct 2020
I was heading down a slippery *****,
I tried to pull myself back up,
But couldn't reach the rope,
There was no hope,
How the hell am I supposed to cope.

I tried with all my might,
And suddenly I saw a really bright light,
And decided to fight,
I took flight,
Now I'm whizzing round the clouds,
At withering heights.
I'm really struggling with my mental health right now,  as I'm sure a lot of people are with everything that's going on right now, stay safe and keep positive.

As I lay back
and put my music on,
My mind drifts away,
And gets lost in the song

I remember as a kid ,
The beat would have me beaming,
Then I grew up and,
realised the lyrics have meaning,

A sad song could leave your eye's streaming,
A happy one can have you,
reaching for the ceiling,
The is nothing better to cater for every feeling.

So if your thing is hip hop, pop or rock n roll
The is no denying that music is good for the soul.

We're all attracted to those who shine, but beware of artificial light.

Sometimes darkness lies underneath the surface of things that appear to be bright.
You'll soon see venom flowing throughout veins of the darkest seeds,

when true colours show, the poison will glow and they'll turn your garden into weeds.

Karma will come, they'll be undone for there's no antidote, they'll create so much poisonous fury within, it will be on their own bitterness that they choke .

Poetic justice Jun 2020
Whilst I'm standing still over this hill, I think of moments in life that gave me a thrill,

But I remembered the pain and I remember the chill, Of the cold dampened heart's that never seem to spill,

Love or affection, like it's protection they need during the question, should i mention you never gave me attention,

like the world's in one convention and I'm outside looking

in,

I grin, whilst I use these forces buried within,

To show people in verse what I mean, before the planet isn't green, before the seas collapse and wind is no longer a breeze,

We freeze in an ice block, tick tock, tick tock we stopped the clock

But nobody hears me so everyone listen up, Stop what you're doing and please raise a cup, For stopping global warming and extinction of animals, Because we're all valuables on this tiny speck of galaxies, Yet governments plan strategies, to profit from tragedies, They keep us all living in fantasies, but strike in catastrophes, So let's help our families and all become one, Before we've got none and everything we love and everything we feel has gone, Putting a bet on the apocalypse, odds are ten to none !!

Rhyme rap attack
Poetic justice Jun 2020
A little birdy told me, hearts and souls are mouldy,
Walk with me, talk with me on this journey of doubt,
You'll question people and you'll question the drought,
Of honesty people lie about, because it's time to scout,
For people of kindness on earth,
From birth, i think I've been cursed
It gets worse, as I rap this verse
I'm trying to explain how life can be complicated,
Because we're all intoxicated, muffled in fumes of disease and fleas that cling onto your skin,
Use the energy within, and repel them,
This is where your journey Will begin,
I've been searching for a moment or a pinpoint in time,
When these rhymes and lines, will be classed as divine,
As I perfect and refine,
I'm just wondering how many times,
I can assign the same rhyme , so all sit back with a glass of wine, whilst i intertwine every line,
Lyrics so evil I'm committing a crime,
Maybe I'll get a statue, maybe a shrine,
I need to switch it up so let's all decline,
But you'll remember this verse as one of a kind

before you despise,
Not everyone in society is wearing a disguise,
people need to realize not every youngster is bad,

We can't go into a shop without security buzzing round us like flies.

then politicians sit around tables with their suits and ties,
with the lust to discuss me,
you disgust me,

so I must be as level headed as I can,
to never back pedal on the plan,
so we can all hold hands together,
unite,
so we can Live as one.

The cage
Poetic justice Jun 2020
Once upon a time there was a horrid man
who lived in an invisible cage.
He spat out venom
and fed on rage.
He snarled and scowled at each passing day
he was snarling and scowling his whole life away!
Violence made him grow taller and taller
but each time it did his cage grew smaller.
'tis a vicious disease and it's one of the soul
like a crushing snake it was devouring him whole.
'tis a slow painful death
and it's claiming his soul
because he neglected to love
and worshipped control.
He dished out lies,
he dished out blame
that the people wouldn't swallow
for they were onto his game!
Then one day he crumbled and was fast to fade away
as his flesh joined his spirit in a cage of decay

Human demise
Poetic justice Jun 2020
We were given a beautiful world to call home,
A natural wonder,
we were once free to roam.
Amazing landscapes
and animals to look at in awe,
Until selfishness and greed
was planted into our core.
Money was invented,
Which divided the rich and the poor,
Power obsessed tyrants,
Creating mayhem and war.
We couldn't unite,
Because of race, colour and creed,
Even though red.
is the same blood that we bleed,
Not willing to except,
Each others beliefs,
So now the pendulum swings,
And we prepare for our last sunrise,
I say these words with a tear in my eye,
It's sad, but no surprise,
We created our own human demise

We all bleed the same
Poetic justice Jun 2020
Yes, a writer's blood is red, but we also bleed in a multitude of other colors as well. Our blood oozes red, black, blue, and 50 shades of graphite.

And we all tend to our wounds differently.

Some mistakenly try to cleanse their wounds with alcohol.

(it only burns, and delays the healing process.)

Some try to protect their healing wounds by concealing them as they try to stop the bleeding and avoid infection.

And then there are the writers. We leave our wounds exposed allowing them to be aired out, and willingly risking any and all chances of infection.

Yes, writers, we expose our wounds to the world, but only in the hopes of helping those who cover their wounds to know that they are not suffering alone, and to try to heal ourselves in the process.

Yes, writers bleed openly non-stop; in multitudes of colors.
