A misplaced angel dreams of lush facades,
Marinated in an amber-honey glaze that
pools into the streets, homes and
hearts of its radiant inhabitants

I wish to rip that page
from Dorothy Gale's book,
heel clicking until I am back
in that primal womb of sunshine

where I am able to soak in
the richness of natal nutrients
conceived for my angeleño heart
Just been missing home for a while now. Thanks for the outlet y'all.
O fair Helena descending-
How could you not look at me?
You were once Narcissus in the meadow;
Kissing the soil-
Blooming with lavenders-
Basking in the afternoon sun-
Where did all your sunshine go?

Your blurry reflection-
       of somberness;
                  heavy eyes;
                          calloused hands;
                                 disheveled hair;
                                   timid air-

                               Dismayed the goddess in you.

                                          Faded golden lyre;
                                     Withered Pierian roses;
                                      Crushed altar of flame;
                                            Mortal madness!
                                    Ascend back to the divines-
                                    Depart from this mortal coil;
                                 Be the Narcissus in the meadow.

When I grow silent is when you should worry

My mind is everywhere, so much so,that everything is blurry

YOUR WORLD IS STILL INTWINED IN MINE...
even if I wanted to forget....
Not even my mind can I find...

I know there will be better days to distract the emptiness , I dont expect anyone to clean this mess.
My heart will mend and my walls will be strong
To the top I go and feelings be gone.
It was in your eyes, I saw it,
So beautiful, that I believed it,

I now realize you weren’t
mine at all, it hurts to know,
My greatest memory you
will be, how far I go,

All I wanted in life was
just you and me,
Along with the soft night wind
and the timeless sea,

But here I am standing alone, as
the waves glisten,
Gazing at the stars above where
it had all been written…
September 2020
On my windowsill,
of that indigo night
you took me,
and I haven't
been the same since.

Something about you
makes me want to
be a better man.
I've grown wings,
so I take to the sky.

When I was a young boy
My greatest wish was to be a star
Not a star as in a celebrity
But an actual star above your head
In the sky
Like nature’s best
I’ve always yearned
To be free
A beacon of light
Standing tall
So full of love
A clear path for others to seek
Guiding light shines so bright
A refuge for those enduring much pain
To be someone’s wishes
If I can reach for whatever
It will reach for me too.....
Nothing has changed!
