There is
The right side
There is
The wrong side

There is
Your side
There is
My side

Some where
  Residing between
The two
is
The TRUTH
Do you ever get caught in the middle between two friends and they both want you to take their side
Many cultures use the broom
in a uniquely different way, a useful tool when you have something to say.
The broom, always Present in the corner

Some used it as a ceremony for marriage
Each New Year, out the door they sweep the dust and dirt, of the old year
Then they sweep in a fresh new year Cheer

Others used it as a tool to disparage
Their loved one in a marriage
While most just, swept the floor
This is about our broom, history and more
The broom always Present in the corner

Our grandparents used the
broom to settle a dispute.
This process was resolute
The broom always present in the corner

husband demanding, and did not listen
Broom bristles turn skin red until it glisten
Eventually, the husband would learn
Until his next turn
With every poke, the wife spoke her mind
Peace and harmony both would find
The Broom always present in the corner

Old fools
Don’t give the Younghans enough credit
Some are grounded, Worth their salt
Some have manners, tantrums they halt
The broom always present in the corner

Young fools
Today’s generation, no respect for elders
Not only do they think they’re right, but they demand everyone see things their way
And there’s absolutely nothing you can say
It’s just a broom in the corner

The younger generation societal shift
Throwing tantrums ,Pitching a fit
Screaming protests, facts unfounded
we are at war , fighting ,Gaslighting lit
Elders surrounded, warning bells sounded
both sides refusing to recognize the day
Shut down ,Neither side has a word to say

The broom stuffed in the closet, put away
Covered in cobwebs, collecting dust
discussion Falls upon deaf ears Decay
Facing fears No muss no fuss

Emily post ,Decorum  demeanor, respect
Values no longer taught in schools
“The golden rule” a lost term ,neglect
Emotional education taught in retrospect
Whoever holds the broom makes the rules
That is what is taught in school
Teaching Children to be cruel
A broom is no longer a useful tool

Broom bond fire light the night
evil rules the day
Another tradition of past has gone astray

The older generation are reduced
to the term of useless eaters
By Younger generations of Calus cheaters
Otherwise known as tweaking tweeters

How did the separation become so vase
Younger generation can be so crass,
Perhaps Smoking too much grass
The broom A relic of the past

Out with the old
In with the new
Neither generation has
A clue of what to do

The younger generation
The master of the faux pas
pushing limits, doing things
that should NEVER be done,
What? pray tell,
Having ***
In their parents bed
Is a perfect example of one!

Where do you draw the line?
Polar opposites will never be fine
How can we meet in the middle?
How can we each learn to give just a Little

Mind you this is conjecture on my part
Yet the poem came from my heart
If we want humanity to survive
We need to work together to stay alive

Trump shot in the head
Attempted assassination
Bullet grazed right ear

Trump alive and well
Fist in the air yelling FIGHTl
Secured in minutes

The ear all he got
The shooter missed the **** shot
Blood ran down Trump’s face
They use their bodies as shield
Adrenaline pumping through veins

Who’s responsible?
Conspiracy Theorists
Cast aspersions

Foreign evolvement
Maintain composure
The world is watching
A bullet ripped through his ear

Randomness is at play

Someone who is criticize, harshly or unfairly..

I wrote this poem on the day Donald Trump was shot 7-13-24 I’d like millions of other people were watching on TV the moment it happened. The thing that said, in three days later. Somebody was willing to not only **** Donald Trump and wanting him dead, but to do it on national television. His head splattered for all to see. How sick is that too much that doesn’t add up it keeps nagging me we still don’t know the truth about JFK assassination.

“It starts when you’re always afraid”
Step out of line the men will come and  take you away”

Even though this word was months ago, I wanted to continue to use some of these older words to strengthen my
lexicon
The Vocabulario of a person
Pelosi, Harris, Newson if you please
All Took their share  Government deceived

Gruesome Newson took the ***** prize
Stiff competition for who is most despised

California was a place of opulence
Pelosi destroyed San Francisco pestilence

People could steal up to $1000 dollars
And not be charged The stores hollered

They were forced to allow destruction
In the false pretense of reparation

Gucci, Chanel Prada, Finest shopping
like locusts they came counter hopping

Broken glass Stores gutted fire remained
The fire burnt out charcoal left it’s stain

Strategically groups hit a street of stores
Filling their cars with their horder scores

There were cameras all around
No arrests were ever handed down

Bathrooms Human waste on the sidewalks
Toilets locked *** **** maps people talk

Drug addicts die zombie comatose frozen
from around the world free drugs chosen

An attempt to get them out of a ***** tent
Homeless in fine hotels Government spent

Drug paraphernalia placed in the lobby
A **** lab caught on fire, druggies hobby

People came from far and wide to get high
Partied ***** drugs fentanyl they died

Another failed project Quietly went away
Harris refused to prosecute anyway

A bail fund to get criminals out of jail fast
I quote “this will not stop it will last

“They will not stop after the election
nor should they. This will continue.”
(Kamala Harris)

Harris loves, vin diagrams color coded
The wheels on the bus duly noted

Criminals destroyed San Francisco
Gavin Newson’s the biggest fiasco

There’s so much that could’ve been done
to prevent these wild fires blistering sun

An Arsonist lit ten fires before she caught herself a blaze, went to a firemen hot haze

Found Accelerant fire starters in her car
No Help from the border czar

Thank to Harris the Arsonist lickety-split
set 5 more fires before she was caught lit

Arsonist quoted, “California burn it down”
Newsom playing the blame game clown

Arsonist demanded “If we don’t get
what we want, we’ll burn it to the ground.”
No comment Newson never around

The destruction for his sake  magnitude 8
California unable to rebuild in his wake

So many homeless bursting at the seams
Mass ****** Crimes women’s screams

be careful walking from the store to the car
Criminals on the rise abducted not far

Gang, ****, *** for sale, darker from there
Government housing, new homes bare

Migrants want to take over our entire city
They tell you one group Areas are for pity

Demanded immigrants congregate together
Sharia laws, private Police lines tethered

Tags Look what gangs are in control
American Quickly learn to stay or go.

If you wonder what is in store

We pour out our hearts in our work
We ask for corective critic
Not a boastful ****

We give so much information
about who we are
Sometimes the subjects are
too sensitive by far

The writer may have
a hard time being objective
yet we want the reader to be subjected

Can you see through
the poet Eyes
the reason for the vivid
imagery wise

I benefit from knowing
your age
it assists
my thought proces,
as a gauge

Every ten years
a person changes 100%

Birth to ten, it is easy to see
Ten to twenty,
the mindset invincibility

I am six years
into my fifth life
lived, loved,
am a mother and wife,
happiness, anger, and Strife

The more we know
about the poet
Helps us understands
the poem as we know it

As we get older
we realize
how little we know
understanding
there's so much more
room to grow

So please fill out your bio age
and all the information you want to share
so we can review your poem with competent care
I would not give the same at information to 16-year-olds as I would a 30-year-old it does matter as a point of reference where you are in life
I'm not trying to be intrusive So if you get out so if you're not comfortable on an exact age perhaps a range say in the 20s , or your teens
that still gives a point of reference

If a haiku is
an insight into a manner of experience
A Haibun
is that story or a narrative of
how one came to have that experience.
Something to ponder
Food for thought
This is a type of a haiku
Round and round ,The carousel turns
Faster and faster with moxie we learn
Life shows us ups and downs
Cherished love Sweet laughter sounds

Younger hunger, more invincible you are
Chances to prove your a bright shining star
Rushing through life not a moment to spare
Soaring high in the crisp clean air

Around and around the carousel turns
Resilience in the face of adversity we ride
The oceans we cross, Turbulent tides
The chances we take Mountains we climb
Lessons, sublime In the passage of time

Around and around,The carousel turns
problems in life, that each day would bring
Changes pass by to catch the brass ring.

Around and around, the carousel turn
Disparity and pain my ride will slow down
God’s gentle hand will push me around,

He picked me up, carried me, when I fell
He stands beside me on my carousel,

Seize the day
I thank the Lord
For making it that way

I wake ready to start my day
A clean slate listening to Gods will
Clear minded with much to say

I walk the dogs each day
They are ready to explore
Sitting by the door in their special way

I praise God for giving me today
30 shades of green a tranquil walk
Visiting the neighbors, dog do talk

The return home is the same each day
The dogs walk slower wanting to run and play
Fresh air, wind in my ,hair without a care

Creative juices flowing, I walk and pray
Rejuvenated and ready
To start my day

There are seven types of Haiku,
1) Traditional- nature,
2)Modern, which includes;
contemporary and Freeform.
Capturing every day experiences, love, loss, social issues, observations of human nature
3) Senrya. human nature, humorous, funny
4) Tanka, five lines 31 syllables
5) Haibun, personal reflection
6) Renku requires two poets each, adding a stanza to a poem , One stanza, and then the second poet adds the reply total to stanzas
You can look up each of these for more detail I’ve also came across another list. It’s slightly different, but basically. This is the list.

Contemplation
A whole new nation
Inner-flexion
Introspection
Ponder think
Every blank

Most people are
reluctant
to change
Quite contrary
While others
Live arbitrary

Set in their way
Sedentary all day

I am labile
The one constant
thing in life
Is change
Ready or not
Life rearranged

Change can be
A beautiful thing
Caterpillar on the
Ground
chrysalis
All around
Butterfly
In the sky

Change is
beyond
Our control
All we
can do
Is go
With the
Flow

This poem
should be said
in the voice of
a five-year-old
child.
When my
grandchildren
got together
they make up
silly sayings
somebody
heard
from school,
and then they made
their own version.
I have a memory
like an elephant.
My grandchildren’s
children
will be saying
these silly sayings
This is a conversation
between two children
Child A
Child B

Child A)
What are you doing?
Child B)
eating chocolate
Child A)
Where did you get it ?
ChildB)
doggy dropped it.
Child A)
Where’s the doggie?
Child B)
 behind the door
Child A)
What’s he doing?
Child B)
making more!
This is followed by giggles laughter  told at boys sleep overs when they’re reading books, like diary of the wimpy kid and eating worms

The rumblings of government
People say, “Joe Biden is too old”
“He’s not up to the job”, truth be told. Hypothetically say he steps down
the next in line is Kamala Harris
She speaks in rhyme . Embarrassed.

she laughs like a hyena that’s a start,
she makes Joe Biden look smart.
running for office, she told protesters
to continue fighting She makes a gesture
(Uncontrollable laughter) rightly so
they’re not gonna stop Nor should they.

BLM will continue after the election
Kamala and Many in her party created, a get out of jail fund For the rioters,
Those arrested In most cases,
Were back on the street in 90 minutes looting and shooting again for reparation

Recruiting stealing , destroying businesses
Lite fires Burning down police stations
Desecrating, statues, monuments, history
The sounds appearance of an insurrection.
Kamala Harris Resign or Impeach
A harsh lesson to teach

American is on her knees
Terrorist Isis,Hzbollah  Hamas
Illegal immigrants made their way here
Open borders, there is a third choice
President pro temp nominated  2023
On paper, she sounds really good.

Patty Murray Democrat Washington DC has held various positions and has been reelected five times Elementary school, teacher mother. The media ask Kamala questions she is constantly non-plus
really?  not a good look for a president

At this point, what could it hurt

We are blessed to live in a place
Which offers freedom to choose our religion
Yet now we have to exercise tolerance to others at our exspence
This new thinking  is infringing upon my right to religion

There is a Catholic mission that has been standing near 100 years
A group takes offense with the cross and steeple ontop the Church
They want it removed a court battle maybe on the horizon
Why is their belief more important then mine?

There are groups who challenge institutions to insue change
What happened to live and let live ,who are these people ?
What will be next ?the cross around my neck
Carrying a bible in public or worshipping all together

In public schools our children can no longer pray
A Christmas tree is now called a holiday tree
As if the words change the reason for the season
Christmas break is now winter break

They changed the pledge of allegiance
No longer does our nation’s children say in God we trust
The big bang theory takes the place in our history books

Look around at the beauty in our world
How can it all be an accident
56% of the world population do not believe in God
We are on the brink of a precipice

When we start giving up our liberties we stand on a slippery *****
If people don’t believe in God ,the Bible
by what gage are morals values set and followed
Is the moral compass based ones self?

Isn’t that rather like playing God?
The belief God Got it wrong because they are in the wrong body?
Don’t get wrong it’s not for me to judge
but I do have to exsplain these topics to my grandchildren

We are living in ***** and Gomorrah
Mass killing are the norm, while satin laughs in delight
I believe we are living in the end days why most are oblivious
Read Revalation , The last book in the Bible, wake up
A seed is planted

Higher education a privilege not a right
Financially universities are out of sight
Choose A college, not cloaked in hypocrisy.
The one you can afford is mediocrity
Most try hard to resist Temptation’s sin
However eventually they just want to fit in
A feeble experiment, try something new
College students surrender without a clue
Not quite full grown , a woman or man
They do what they want because they can
Transitioning into, anything, something
They are on a quest to stand out, to shine
Their Grand Adventure to seek, to find
Escaping the rat race, a struggle , The grind
Considering all possibilities what is best
Experiencing the excitement of life’s zest
Contemplating who and what to become
A leader or A follower, success for some

They are Young , gullible, ignorant trusting
Naïve, Unsophisticated , easily deceived
It doesn’t matter if what they are told
Ridiculously implausible Is NOT true.
It’s something For them to believe in
It’s something they need to hang onto,
They drank the College Kool-Aid
Step One

Newbies, full of dreams, leave for college,
Young adults ,barely retaining knowledge
When They come home for thanksgiving.
In a crazed haze, moral confusion, Ensue
Erasing their history, they once  knew.
volatile temper, They jump to conclusion.
Their past reduced to just an allusion,
Monumentally,This is the very first time
They are allowed to have , Boisterous
opinions of Worth and make it plausible.
Their thoughts, glimpses of intelligence.
A New Affirmation of personal dominion
Acknowledge Pronouns, how they Identify
Parents must; be content, conform, comply
Specifically, Never question, or ask why
College Kool-Aid
Step Two

Ready to argue , On every point
they sneak off to smoke a joint
College Kool-Aid
Step Three

Repeatedly They are taught ,Every parent
has filled their head with a million lies,
and their generation is much more wise
College Kool-Aid
Step Four

Indoctrination overtime Many discussions
Unfold Laced with Drugs, beer and wine.
They were taught to believe what they knew, as they grew,  twice told tales lies,
Which made disillusioned Parents sigh.
Absent minded they started to drink.
Consciously they never stop to think
College Kool-Aid
Step Five

Their tribe no longer Included; family,
Sister and brother, father and mother
Yes even Nana and Papa were deluded
Generations, traditions all up rooted
Drink longer and Stronger
College kool-Aid
Step Six

Taught to Destroy the entire world
Once held high ,our flag unfurled
The American flag now burning
Patriotism, A relic from the past, turning
Historical statues dismantled, pulled down
Americans look around, our foundation
The Rubble, pieces, broken on the ground
What made America special , not found
A College Marxist generation now enlisted.
The young and old, morality, sold twisted
Uncontrolled they no longer can be told.
The fruits of College Kool-Aid
Step Seven

Deception , humanization , foundation laid
Bourgeoisie hidden lurking in the shade
Powers that be ,One World Order parade
College staff, every teachers too, mixed
their evil brew, served, what they made
College Kool-Aid
Step Eight

mind bending manipulators Deployed
All means possible ,Our country destroyed
the Long term effects, fruits of Kool-Aid
America reimagined, A coo  from within
Attack on every front, Revolution begins
They don’t care what, they don’t care why
Contrived motives by the great divides
Parent and child on opposite sides
Our children are now walking away
from their family they once knew.
Those That nurtured and gave love too.
Master control takes hold, kitchen Bare
Congratulations!, Graduated, unaware
Receiving their diploma with a blank stare.
College kool-Aid
Step Nine

Brimming with anger, hatred, deep inside
Gross distain ,They don’t try to hide.
USE their Parents for a Financial ride
for their College Education with pride
Bewildered Parents don’t want to believe
Their youth would practice to deceive
Deception, achieved, Illusion never fade
College Kool-Aid
Step Ten

No more nonsense and No more pretend
Our Traditional education Now at an end
leads to communist Marxist, emancipation,
Marching, Molotov cocktails in the street
Mostly peaceful protest, burning the elite
Generations, bewitched , never knowing
Depravity showing , Take over growing
Illegal immigrants, parents cannot defeat
Inevitably America flounders, at the Brink
Eventually everyone will drink, once made
College Kool-Aid

Morally gone, zombies, walking dead
Education formed what is in their head
Decision time, Take the Red pill or the Blue
Really that’s all they’re taught to do

Easier to Control when empathy is gone. Honestly, How do We Combat this war?
How do We reason with our children
with 1 foot out the door. The erosion of
Families , Morality ***, Marriage, racism,
Transgender ,M/F , giving/killing Birth
Everything is controversy on this Earth.

Relax borders open we’re going for a ride
United States Civil War, treason, spies
Hear the battle cry, How many will die?
Defending America’s right to be free
We are At the precipice, On bended knee
By design ,by those who hide in the shade

GOVERNMENT
well played
After all,
they MADE
the Kool-Aid
This is an example of an epic poem .
As a  college Educator and a college student I see things from both perspectives.! Watching the young adults I know navigate I experienced this firsthand. To hell in a handbasket

We celebrate commercialized Holidays days
but I’m not sure why
Mother’s Day ,Father’s ,Day Valentines Day
to say I  understand would be a lie
These and other Holidays
have become so bastardized
Stores have capitalized on these days
Do people really realize!
I heard a man announce
Super Bowl Sunday is a Holiday
I laughed, until I understood, he was serious
then, I had nothing to say
Still I was curious to know
how he /we embarked along this path
Why does Society go along?,
other then a PARTY DAY, lets  do the math
Companies making money at our expense
are we board? hence
The vicious circle,
round and round,
the reasoning makes no since
Yet it seems silly
the days to observe continue to grow
And we the people are the last to know
Can we get off of this financial treadmill
before our money is gone
The growth rate of Holidays are increasing,
it all seems wrong
Yet if we don’t buy in participate
we will be considered cheep
Ridiculed, a person who doesn’t care,
branded a creep
There has to be a way
to beat the system
So what do you say?
now they are taking away all the holidays that truly matter

Surfers live by this Philosophy

Life‘s a beach, love the smell of the sea
Only surfers know the feeling,
No Wave no glory, drugs no thanks,
Surfing is life. The rest are details.

Life‘s a wave, go big or go home

Work is for people who don’t surf
If it swells ride, it doubt, paddle out

If I can imagine it I can make it

Just as poetry flows freely

So does my need to create something

To take random objects
a doll dress made  Made out of
paper mache lace  lots of embellishments
Always the small imbellishments the small
Details that take it over the top

Crocheting a blanket from several different patterns creating an one of a kind original

A  fairy made of wire, a wooden ball embroidery thread and a silk flower

Victorian Dresden Christmas
ornaments from 1890 those are my favorite
In the olden days things were made by hand
They didn't have store bought ornaments they were keepsakes, memories of years gone By

I can see a picture then bring it to life
Or make it from an idea in my head

I have made something for all to see
it was within me and will always be

It's such a rush to have that Finnish project
Knowing I made that

It's strange to know so much creativity lives
Within me yet others can't do the same

They see a thing as it is  I see all the  possibilities
Of what it can become
Perhaps I'm making my own keepsake
I'm working on three different projects right now forget all the things I need to get done at the end of the day I get a chance to create something new after all isn't that what poets do?

These butterflies have migrated all around the local area. The Arboretum has a list of plants you can get that would benefit the butterflies that I have them all. At first the wide eye newness of a stranger is exciting,
common attraction, flattering
the first kiss-  a moment that should not be missed
Intimacy filled with emotion

Have you ever woke up thinking
you’re in Twilight zone
I fell asleep, slept hard
Woke up at 6:30

I jumped up out of bed.
I thought it was 6:30 AM.
Half asleep in a daze,
I was amazed

How did that happen?
I sat down in the living room,
turned on the news like usual for 5 AM
I don’t sleep more than two hours at a time

While eating breakfast I noticed
something was wrong I felt fuzzy, sleepy
I had missed the night pills
Plus I was late for my next set of pills.

That’s unusual I should be
hurting more but I wasn’t.
Pill rules never double up
Take your pills adjust the time

Staring at my pills late!
In my case it was two hours early
the fog slowly lifted, I began to reason
something was not right

I thought it was odd
the dog laid there, not moving,
even when I jumped out of bed
He didn’t even raise his head

But something felt wrong
The house still felt hot
I check the weather every morning
Cool morning usually Low 60°

88° that temperature was too hot
I stepped outside. It was dark.
7 o’clock it should be cool
And the sun should be shining

Did I descend into chthonic region ‘s
It was dark and I was little frightened
of what I might find smell of smoke linger
The glow of fire in distant hills

That was my first clue
I finished my cereal fully awake
I flew over the cuckoo’s nest
I’m the fool on the hill

I came to my senses
I think I always knew
The clock on the wall told it all
Crazy time spent, back to bed I went

But this time it was Rick I was in an alternate world, and I kept saying something does not feel right, as if somebody was listening to me.. it wasn’t until finally looked at an atomic clock on the wall and I was stunned that I was stumped for over a half an hour. You can hide from
the rest of the world
BUT
You can't hide from yourself

Deal with it

I have become
A master at hiding
Smiling just enough

Yet, looking closely
The eyes never lie
The pain; hurt, sadness
All there to see

When the world is
Upside down
I  graciously help others

My undevided attention
Intently listening to
Their problems

So, I don't have to
Share my feelings

Have  you ever noticed
When somebody asks you
"How are you "
they really don't want
To know the TRUTH

Walking down the pale blue corridor
Framed doors line the sides, knowing what lies behind
Each door has two buttons, one light, enter or exit

Old victorian furniture, flickering candle light
seems to light the walls, the last door on the left
open waiting my arrival

A lump forms in my throat, my eyes water uncontrollably,
trembling as I gasp for a normal breath
Family look and talk to me ,here nor do I see them

At first, I only dare to see the flowers on the gray casket
my heart races
The bangs on top of her forhead every hair in place
Catholic cross, collar lace, her body out of context
to her personality and soul for those living in the world of their make-believe

They made her into what they needed her to be
to absolve them from any wrongdoing,
her family never understood her
They paid their final respects with hidden emotions of
guilt and shame

I reminisced  of a childhood adventure
implicated
concluded with a smile
Strange what I chose to remember
In the mist of my sorrow

Overwhelming  bewilderment
places left unseen ,words left unsaid

John Diamond, 1847, Irish immigrant settler first saw the lake in 1852 while searching for a wagon route over the cascade mountains. He climbed the timberline at commanding Peak and saw 23 miles of skyline and the Lake.

The GOVERNMENT
is an ***** of the state.

The STATE agency
which makes laws, and enforces them, and punishes those who violate those laws.

The NATION

and as seen as eternal one.

The STATE
you must have noticed is a

A corrupt world is imploding from within
Full of; Pride,Hatred Evil, and Sin

We are left in the dark were told only certain things our government is not truthful corrupt when you start looking into our history there’s so many things that we have not been told.   The parable of the
Good Samaritan told by Jesus in Luke
10:25-37
This story was told by Jesus in response to question
asked by a lawyer who is my neighbor ?
As we are told to Love our neighbor as our self

The parable is about a traveler
who is stripped of clothing
beaten and left For dead
alongside the road
First a priest and then a Levite come by
but both avoid the man
finally a Sameritain happens upon the traveler
Sameritans and Jews generally despise each other
but the Samaritan helps the injured man
In conclusion
the neighbor figure in the parable
is the man who shows mercy for the injured man
that is the Good Samaritan
I took the story of the good Samaritan out of Wikipedia  this story is not meant to be political but it’s to emphasize the point of these children young adults that are reaching out for us and their lost and we’re turning her head to weigh in we need to talk to them I have been personally reaching out to them in private  perhaps together as a family here on this site we can be there for people when they’re hurting

People say Dogs  are our Children
Let’s explore that notion

We live in the TIME
of the rainbow
Where if you feel IT,
Or think IT
Makes IT SO!
Let’s see what we know!

Both Children and Dogs need you
when they are very small
Dogs don’t wear diapers
Children are not taught how to crawl
By the time children learn to dress
Both Children and Dogs need you less

Children talk incessantly
but don’t always listen
Dogs listen as long as you need
Go for a walk,
the Dog chooses the speed

A Dog will lick your tears
A Dog can sense your fears
Dogs don’t say a word
But their feelings are still heard

When Dogs growl and bark
Their emotions quickly turn dark
Dogs tell you where they stand
Don’t listen, they can bite your hand
Children don’t bite you
Their words do
Both cut just as deep
Into your memory,
these events seep

People aren’t allergic
to their children

If Dogs were our Children ,
When meeting other People
First
they sniff each other’s butts
Friend or foe
That’s all they need to know

People use toilets
Dogs use the floor
There’s an exception
to every rule;
Yes, dogs too
can go to school

Children won’t eat
things they don’t like
Dogs eat everything,
Than throws it up
late at night

Children come
when asked
Dogs run wild
in soft green grass

Dogs have Fur
From head to tail
Children’s unruly hair
can seem like hell

Children don’t get fleas
They get Head lice
from daycare schools
That do as they please
From clueless busy parents,
Who don’t think twice
Bringing their infected
children to school
Against the Golden rule
Every household,
With a head full of lice
Will tell you
the nightmare
is not nice.

Dogs get stickers
in their feet
Children get
ouches and boo-boos
A cartoon Band-Aid treat

Children kiss you
with love  and grace
Dogs will lick your face

While both Dogs and Children
cuddle all night long
They both fall asleep
with a nursery song

Both Dogs and Children
hog the covers and the bed
No matter how much
Pushing, pulling,
or pleading is said
It’s no longer your bed

In the morning, you wake
Move slowly for heaven’s sake
When children fall into a deep sleep
Waking them  is like
Raising the dead
A dog’s foot and paw
pushing against your head.
Smile with loving contentment
as you slowly slip out of bed.
Children and Dogs need to be fed

Children have their own rooms
Dogs sleep everywhere
there is nothing worse than
Bad Dog Breath and slobber
A dog will alert you
when there’s a robber

Children leave home
when they’re grown
Dogs are loyal until
the day they die
Dogs do not cry
or tell Lies

Both Children and Dogs
will show emotion
in their eyes
Dogs don’t hold grudges
Or refuse to forgive
Dogs live and let live

Children can’t easily discern
between good and bad.
Children are trusting pray
Now that is SAD
Dogs know instantly
predator or prey

While Dogs and Children
have their merits
Not all People are Children People
However
Only some People are Dog People

The Fugacious hurricane came and went
Useless helpless frustration spent.
The power of prayer Was in the air
Swirling Destruction everywhere

I know better than to worry
Life is always in a hurry
Florida’s Milton hurricane
Had my emotions insane

Predicted to be in the path way
Evacuation at all costs, they say
Phone numbers on your body pray
To notify next to kin if you stay

Predicted a category five house ******
It turned out to be category 3 pretender
15 to 17 ‘ water surge and flooding
Was mild mostly an accumulation of mud

by the grace of God, it grew in size
20 miles north  October surprise
A much wider hurricane appeared
Relief for some Florida’s shift of fears

That’s not to say some were worse for wear
Most Lost power, High winds House, tares
My grandson felt underwhelmed
No Gas he had to stay prayed at the helm

Extreme Wind and Rain Power out
Craziest worry turned to relief doubt
Was this as bad as it will get

All the media hype predictions fizzled
The hurricane rain turned to drizzle
The aftermath clean up will take awhile
People emerged tears grateful smile

The faces we show

forgiveness and pray
The faces we show

strategically hiding
who we really are

The faces we show

When we
Let down

The faces we show

Do we like
what we see
Is it you?
is it me?

When I was  a child
we dressed up
for Easter Sunday
I wore white gloves and  tights
a flower dress and
white Mary Jane shoes
With white double lace ankle socks
To top off our outfit
an Easter Hat
We were allowed
to decorate it
to match our dress
We sang
“ I wore an Easter Bonnet
With pretty flowers on it”
In fact
The whole congregation
wore a sea of
brilliant colored hats
Flowers tulle and lace
it was our
Sunday Best
My mother wore a mantilla
(A lace covering over her head with a pearl straight pin )
A sterling silver and real pearl rosary and
Her glove collection was something to behold
Today Easter Sunday
Now
no gloves
No Stockings lace
No Easter Bonnets
not one
In fact it could’ve
been people at Walmart
or going to the park

nothing special
It saddened me
Times are changing
And not necessarily
for the better

What do we show people ?

What do people speculate; see, decree
is that the real inner  me?

Screaming words over joyed
People interpt
My reputation destroyed

Out of control
Anger all to see
Gone crazy would people agree

Unconsulable
The death of a family member
Will People understand be tender

Sometimes our emotions
get the best of us
Yet, do we understand why
emotions happen so deeply
Perhaps that's why we are so uniquely

Have we become
a victim of ourself

Anger and fear
Laughter love so dear

Do we listen ,Do we here

What do we show Society
Should it matter or

In the end does it matter

For some reason when it gets hot, I perspire that loss of water. Sweat makes me dehydrate easier. My doctor has said I have to drink electrolyte water to stay in balance. A little bit of sweat. takes a lot of water out of your body. If you drink water cold with ice that’s actually worse.

We stand at the edge of time A precipice
We are the only generation
That is completely different than
Any previous generations

Our expansion of knowledge
In this generation and the things
That knowledge has made possible
Has literally put history on the fast track
Propelling us into the future

The Bible tells us the last generation
We’ll see a great increase of knowledge
Look at every previous generation
This generation has seen an exponential
Increase in knowledge that is unique

Daniel 12:4 oh, Daniel shut up the words,
And steal the book even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro and
Knowledge shall increase KJV

From the time of Christ, until, 1750
Knowledge increased increased slowly
From 1750 to 1908 knowledge doubled
From 1900 to 1950 knowledge doubled

Now the expansion of knowledge,
The Things we know are accelerating at
A Faster rate, Buy an iPhone, it’s already obsolete they build a newer model

The same is true with the computer
The Internet, all new inventions
AI is a perfect example as AI rises
Man, obsolete idle without a purpose

A self learning computer will completely
double its knowledge every 18 months
Very soon it will be smarter than man
Will the computer see man as the threat?

What are we Transitioning evolving into?
Will we still be human or cyborg hybrid?
Just because we can create something
Ethically morally, responsibly should we?

Prosthetics implants new heart, Hips knees
Regenerating skin tissue, IVF, embryo
Computer chip to enhance the brain
At what point did we cross that line?

All in the name of New Improved Better
We have the capacity to make children, outside of the womb. A perfect child.
Who decides, rights to our body humanity

Oblivious people, If we take a stand
We’re scapegoats, toes over the ledge
speak out, they’ll push us off. scary times
Eugenics, downsize eliminate people
