Thomas Duff Mar 2015
I've wasted years, you said.
How?
I've lived moments of adventure sitting in silence,
Your hand touching mine
I've had days of frustration transfigured by your smile.
Countless days spent in sunlight and happiness,
Leaving permanent shadows on my soul.
Even days when my eyes couldn't see you,
My heart did.
Re-created like fog into form
Memories of bliss come together like atoms.
A phantom of you in my mind’s eye.
And for all this, what price have I paid?
The pain of letting you go?
Let me tell you this:
I’d waste the rest of my years for another with you.
