I could not measure you by drops
even though I felt them soften
    every thistle threatening
          to over take the meadow
              of my humanity.

The only way back to YOU
    relied on
                     rainfall,

putting out the deep seeded violence of the fire
mowing through grass
destroying everything

I held sacred, or so I thought.

The only way back to YOU
             relied on rainfall

I had to generate
from deep within.

My meadow no longer burns
but grows with what I saw
    smile at me
       in her emerald enchanted eyes
            on a day when happiness
                never ends.

The Night Is Quiet
The night is quiet in this far away land.
The guns are making no noise tonight.
The world is at peace we can only hope.
No none killed no more dead.
Now at home we hear the cry
Let's have peace no more wars.
On this night, it is quiet.
Guns here are not firing.
People are calling one another friends, neighbors, brothers
God gave this night. It is Christmas all over the world.
Let the sound of peace quiet of the night.

And! His gaps could be filled only by the emptiness which belonged to the coldest night,

The merciless night! Which healed his not so prominent scars;

The scars! That painted an ambiguous riddle on his soul,

The soul! A traveler a descendent from the dark

I am doll parts and monster hearts stitched and sewn by chaos and insanity
I am nothing more than plastic and vaseline
A worthless hole to satisfy lust of selfish flesh and hollow heart
Nothing more than the abomination of loves desperation
To hold and kiss death as life so often does

They say
I'm so passionate
with my words,
truth is
poetry is just something
that keeps me
alive.

I see her and air is snuffed
Out of my lungs in one swift
Swoop, my usually perceptive
Mind is a hodgepodge of disarray.
Speech is caught in the labyrinth
That’s my voice box choked from
All sides, an irredeemable hostage.
I stare long and hard at her eyes
Then I realize, her eyes aren’t
Ordinary, they’re a canvas on
Which the Milky Way galaxy is
Exquisitely captured. It’s this
Precise moment that a shrill
Mention of my name jolts
Me to wakefulness, and well
My heart’s a pitiful husk
After being exposed to two opposite
Extremes of emotional excitement.
I wonder what would have transpired,if i had not woken up.

Burden

These thews that lift the burden of
unspoken tragedies
These eyes like marbles; cast in stone
unmoved by memories
And lines on face that tell a tale
of unbearable pain
These twisted fingers speak of past
unwinding once again

The heavy tears that shook the earth are
once again suppressed
The once-jubilant heart has now
with misery coalesced
These legs that never slowed their pace
unamused by moonlit roads
And lips that spoke the sweetest words
with silence are bestowed

Distance makes the heart grow fonder, these words have always made me ponder, would you love me more with the space in between, if i moved far away where i couldn't be seen.

where i could only see you're smile in the presence of a dream, if so those who bid me wake would return me to my ache.

where I'd reach for you at night wondering why you're out of sight, wishing I could hold you tight and know everythings alright

Ive never read a poem that speaks of two hearts that beat even stronger whenever apart, or seen plays of young lovers who flee from eachother, who adore from afar, and forget who they are.

I can feel you're phantom kisses and hear you're absent heart, i relive the happy moment to sooth time spent apart.
Absent- thank you to all my fellow poets for your support and encouragement, i really appreciate it.**
