Have you tasted the
azure kisses of my
beloved
and rested your head
on His bonny blue *****

Sweetness of
His divine presence
shoos away
the dark carrion
embrace of death
a distant memory now
cawing, swooping
shadows of a dream
we once walked alone
and confounded

O how my heart jubilant leaps
for every living being
who hastens to His waiting arms
and wastes not a moment on
anything less than
God’s immortal Love
I saw the Divine Mother
as I walked on the beach
early morning with my hubby

She was in the majestic waves
rising up from the fathomless ocean floor

I witnessed Her in the silver gilled fish struggling
for air at the end of a fishing pole
and in the baby sea turtle crawling toward
open arms mother of pearl

She flashed a celestial smile
when a dolphin a few feet from us
launched itself into the buoyant blue

David and I held hands chanting Om
while She sprayed us
again and again
with salty dawn kisses
A cyclist in a purple turban and salwar pants
whizzed past us as we trudged up the steep hills

of Arlington, Virginia

His gaze caught mine
just a starry
flash in the bucket

wordless soul communion
that said so much

Do you know what religion he is?
queried my hubby, David
"Sikh...I think" still reflecting
on our brief exchange

David and I were in town for our niece's wedding

and also on vacation
enjoying the sights and plethora
of attractions that flourish in the capitol
city, Washington, DC

As I surveyed the beautiful capitol
abounding with lush gardens, parks,
magnificent magnolia trees and
fragrant pink and white crepe myrtle

I couldn't help observing the rich diversity
of people and cultures working and living

here

"Where are you from?" I asked our taxi driver

"I'm originally from Ethiopia,"
a waiter in a restaurant told us
he was from Morocco...another person from Egypt...
India...China and so on…

USA has a diverse topography
heavenly mountain ranges, verdant forests,
fruitful farmlands
span outward to luminous blue shores

The racial, political, cultural diversity of our
great nation is what makes us so

unique and special
It's in our DNA, and literally in mine,

a real melting ***

All Americans have one thing in common:
our thirst for liberty and freedom

These words from the Memorial of Abraham Lincoln
are brilliant with truth and timeless with love:

"I leave you, hoping that the lamp of liberty
will burn in your bosoms until there shall
no longer be a doubt that all men are
created free and equal." ~Lincoln
Swami

I will never be the same

How could I?

The moment my head

Touched Your heavenly

Feet

Brightness overtook me

Love in its purest form

Breath of radiance

Blew acrross

abysmal and obscure

Horizons

The sun rose with

A fierce  Glory

Turning everything

To Light

Softly, shyly with great hope

A lotus dared to bloom
That One magnificence that

sings and blows His flute

amongst us

with shooting stars in His hair

and golden eyes like suns

His breath flows through

green reeds on the river banks

and baby birds chirping exuberantly

in their thatched nests

it fills our lungs with song

and impregnates our hearts

with love indistinguishable

when we kiss His shimmering feet

We caress the starry lips of the Universe

Poetry Song: http://www.sairapture.com/narayan-narayan.html
God is Love? My hazel eyed
grandson, Sean Sai looked at me querulously
the Beatles song “All you need is Love”
was playing in the background
We were at the annual school program
and it ended with this provocative song
Sean Sai had proceeded to name
a string of things that we needed besides
love........
I hugged the little lad and explained
that Love gives us everything because
God is Love, pure unconditional Love
Oh? he responded, I watched as that
tiny vital seed of awareness
planted itself deep into his consciousness
in time I knew it would grow into a
vast tree of supernal, resplendent wisdom
