stuck
in a flurry of words
while you hurry out

a protagonist
i've made up
in my head and heart

i can only do so much
as to write about you
and make believe
that you were once

that i'm trying to read
a book that's incomplete

Coming out
as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender
Can be very hard
I have been in the situation
And I still am
I am bisexual and still coming out
Barely anyone knows
About who I am truly.

I treasure your friendship
You make me laugh
I look for a gap
To give you a hard time
In the best possible way
I make you laugh too

If you're having a bad day
I'll tell you a joke
Or act like a clown
I'll make you laugh
You won't be upset long
If I have my way

If you need a hug
I'll happily oblige
If its real bad or real sad
I'll weep with you
Until you get through
I'll be there

We will share the load
Good, bad, happy or sad
This is friendship

Someone asked me the other day
"Do you like her?"
I thought for a second and smiled,
"Yes, yes I do."

"God, you're such a lesbian!"
I smiled and replied with,
"I know."
And kept on walking.

Later in the day
People were staring at me
And
Calling me names.

I held my head up
High
And smiled.

Nobody will stand in my way.
