Traveler
I hid within my shadow world
And held my breath too long
These holes within are empty parts
Where memories of you belong

I saw you in the distance
I know you saw me too
I turned my head and ran away
I think I'm turning blue
.....

I'll be fine after this ****** kicks in.

I take a sip and close my eyes.
Empty swimming pools.
I take a puff and open them.
Packed strip clubs.
I take a step.
Drained bottle in the sand.
I raise my hand.
Vibrant stars along the water.
I slowly sigh.
The sound of waves like musical notes.
I turn my head.
******* with inviting eyes.
I take a seat.
Passing police cars.
I take another sip.
Drunken friends singing somewhere in the night.
I take another puff.
Homeless men digging through trash.
I lower my head.
Crying children in open windows.
I stand up.
A lonely boy lost in the noise.
It is
not how
many,
it is how long with the same one who you love.
(22 years to date and still counting with the same one after being picked up hitchhiking on a way to another girls house oops..)

Reading  from it's book of absurdity, for you and me is a daily routine,
do I  get conditioned to meekly accept life's brutal reality you ask me
Even on a bed of burning coal, I've seen dancers amaze with alacrity,
I fight back those slings and arrows with the sheer verve of my poetry.
From  lonely walks, through inner paths every time I return smiling
my golden retriever faithfully follows with the day's happy find.
What poetry means to each one of us..it's defense of imaginativeness against  the corruption reality has undergone..

Strange glowing orb
mystical magnetic oracle
points us aimlessly
in and out of love
pushes and pulls
the tide, spellbound
sea wrecked, sandbarred
left high and dry
deep in the night
foolish we, two
fools of moon

Two doors meet locked shut
One closes the other tight
The other's unhinged
at the mirror above the wash basin
i pause at my reflection

in spectacles and muffler
is a face familiar

where have i seen him, where?

i remember it was beamed on tv, newspaper
made headlines for some days
before on an early dawn

he was quietly snuffed out.

from the mirror
i make a hasty retreat

so closely resembles my face

with that terrorist!

back on the writing table

i ponder

if the resemblance
goes beyond the face!
