The greatest sign of love perhaps
is taking the words out of your mouth,
and stringing them across my shoulders for all to see.

Like a chain of verbs and linked perceptions
stuttered to anyone and everyone who has the time to listen but
rarely do they have enough to understand.

A declaration of dependence
for the sake of our sanity.

A dependence on declaring
for a reason unknown to our egos.

and slowly these premeditated meditations will sink into our skin,
tattoos of our words engulfing the private eye.
Ones that only we can see.

azure eyes and wolven breath
Her soul is the ocean, and i'm
an angel feather floating on the waters
spritely floral sniffs of the call
wilderness is my love, but so are You
night skies on Your forehead
and the moon in Your speech
solar flares in Your pupils that
sink my heart into stone
You toss out over the stagnant waters
Love is blind
sink or swim

caught in the currents of the world
hoping to drown into myself
orange to green, blue to white
the insanity is growing
i jump off this water
and into the plasma of your thoughts
words are an escape,
but your beauty is inescapable
Death is in Your neurons
and independence in mine
It was meant to be
daisy fields of your mind
galaxies of your brain cells
let's go find a library and sink into the ground

one day i'll forget the abc's
just as i have forgotten my own name,

& i'll ask my cup of water,
but it won't respond.
i'll curse it.
how rude can one get?
not to answer to their elder?

& it'll fall on the floor,
the plastic making a soft boing as
it bounces onto the tiles.
that's a funny sound.
i giggle.

i'll turn back to the abc's.
a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h , i , j, k , l,
i stop. what comes next?
it was the first letter of my name, wasn't it?
round and long, like n, but not...

& i'll look to the left.
there'll be an old lady there,
and i smile when i notice her numerous wrinkles.
thank god i'm not like that.
i wonder what i'm like.
i can't remember my own face anymore.

& my back hurts. & my vision's blurry.
and i still- i can't seem to remember
what comes after L.

& i'll wonder, but i'll get distracted.
i get distracted easily, i find.
i don't know why it's so hard to focus anymore.
it seems that everything's moving too fast.

i watch as a spider crawls across the ceiling.
i think i used to be scared of those.
what's it called? the fear of spiders?
i'm pretty sure i had it.

i reach for my glass of water, but it's gone.
where did it go?
i could have sworn it was right next to me.
i'm thirsty.

and i still can't remember...

what had i forgotten?
i have 6 tests/quizzes in different classes tomorrow...
i've already forgotten everything i needed to know.

abc..cba   xyz..zyx

alphabet forward, now backwards too!
inside out an outside in...

The alphabet makes language possible..
created symbols with pronunciation..
so we could all communicate
enjoy are life's with the sound of our voices
an knowledge of people all around..

with vowels an verbs, adjectives an nouns...
all to create languages so profound!!!!

it starts with a letter, that forms a word
used in sentences, can make a story unfold.

of course: i'm always scheming against educational orthodoxy, but i'm not heidegger, claiming the heights of the university tier; me? i begin with the basics, as any greek atomist might.

again this is not for brownie points:
i really do prefer *sonny clark

to chopin -
in that i also despise artists being
hijacked for no worth of their work,
but simply for their ethnicity -
i just like the jazz impromptu -
  the spontaneity - the *******
fury of: playing with the devil's hands.

writing music will remain my foremost
fascination, and i'll die with the awe
rather than the regret, of not being
able to write sounds down -
i settled in the comfort of encoding
the "lesser" sounds -
assured, by the elevation of encoding
through the diacritical system,
   moving from language per se,
toward accents.

i knew a few people who were dyslexic -
and if i were an english teacher
i'd say the same thing, over & over again -
i'll come to that later -
how did i begin my journey into
the shadow of the valley of speaking english?
a sing-along of the alphabet,
which, for me, always ended with
a muddle: V W X Y Z,
  that's what became muddled, every,
single, time.

point being? i really don't care for reciting
an alphabet, i think it's a stupid idea to begin
with, to make it so ****** rigid...
why would you even begin to learn
something so rigid, so ******* pedantic
to begin with? what's wrong with you?
are words arranged in the same pompous format?
no... they're random!

letters are not numbers, gematria taught me
that...
i really don't care if you begin with
a, b, c, and end with the mathematics of x, y, z...
beside the point...
what i want is to obliterate dyslexia,
shake something till it responds
with a smile (like that kid
in the offspring's video for the song
original prankster) -

i really don't need some nunnery of a memory's
worth of use...
throw out
the ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ...
and for god's sake:
just give me the 26 letters,
    keeping it fresh, because you'll
never allow yourself to stay rigid
to some "historical" event of acceptable
chronology...
******* 'n' all.. with alphabetical
chronology...
             or so quantum physics suggests;
once more:
just give me the 26, in whatever order
you like - after all, you won't be arranging
words with that orthodox chronology
ever being, helpful.
