Lizzie
the winds are battering the soft side of my chest
and my skin is in conflict
for thats where the storms and sun meet

so much has changed
since when i was with you
and the warmth of your skin
made my heart beat just faster
and stopped any cold from sneaking in

but then I was vulnerable
and the storms found the cracks
found the ways to get in
found that they could take over

so now I'm left here
with the sun on my face
and with chaos inside
Its been a while
the dreams are ghosts
white ghosts
that fade with the day

Poetic T
I weep a thousand tears yet they
never touch the earth.

They dwell within myself, not
falling trickling upon my soul.

For if they were to collect in the
stream they descended from.

My soul would surely drown,
and I would be submerged in sorrow
He felt the rays
of the sunlight
as He watched her
set foot in his life.

Sunsets seemed to try harder when we were both watching
Drip drip
Was all I could hear
From the faucet
Coming from downstairs
The noise like poison
It echoed off the walls
Down the halls
And leaped into my ears
Under the bed I laid stale with fear
Drowning in a pool of tears
Drip drip
Was all I could hear
As it pierced through the silent air
No longer muted by the sound of her screams
Or the sound of the ax
Being whipped through the atmosphere
While it hacked
I heard bones crack
Skin split
Muscles tear
As they were attacked
Drip drip
Was all I could hear
The smell of blood was so loud
It lingered over my head like a cloud
As I remained hidden
Until your footsteps
Finally went away
POETRY

You let me share my thoughts and exchange clues of what's next in our upcoming adventure
And you let me write and erase my pain
And re-write them all over again
Changing inks for my
Story to be complete
In a book that saves my secrets
And kept them sealed for years
Gratitude to you for listening to What was once left muted.
Gratitude to you
dear poetry.
