In between the sal trees
glistens the river in October light
inviting in the rustling of leaves
to kiss her gently breaking ripples.

She hastes down the rocky *****
impatient as the river gets close
giggling in the dream when her toes
embrace the chill of the late autumn.

The catkins on the other side
swayed vigorously to be with her
spreading with the wind their pollens
in a mad desire to touch her skin.

This October morn she was carefree
floating amid hijal, fig and velvet apple trees
with winds from the river on her sail.

I only watched the fairytale.

your voice is a clarion
be careful how you use it

sound out your whispers
they will be heard

sing out your poems
and you pray twice (St Augustine)

speak in silence'
the beat of your heart.
bread and fish
water and wine
bride and groom
birth and pain
dry and wet
Star and flame
dough and oven
raw and grilled
death and grave
wind and rain.
My soul's melody
can still be played but
it is missing your voice.
It is still pleasant to listen to
but without your harmony,
I will forever sing alone.
Hyperactive all my senses
I can't shut my hunger off
I want to love all the women
I grow weary of battles lost

In sweet sunshine
I come alive
I run 'til out of breath
My heart beats wild
Mile after mile
Until there's nothing left

Laying down
I dream forever
Of a heart that beats
Like mine
Beneath dark skies
Here I lie
In the calamity
Of my rhymes

Song on the wind for you
I sing everyday

weaving across the desert
- a birds wing
oasis to oasis

my thirst quenched
with love of you.
it is a long road across the ocean
the sky is vast especially at night
memories of forgetfulness haunt
while the daffodils wait to live
deep down they stir Earths womb
the same womb we leapt from
to meet across all distances and
close down thoughts of loneliness.
