Like broken glasses of wine!

Grace each line with a rhyme
For so do poems ferment

Fools' Day!

I ran out in shock
Trembling, praying it was a dream
Hoping I'd wake up
From this heart-wrecking news
But I didn't!

For she was lying there
Broken to pieces!
But in place of physical fracture
Her ribs creaked from extreme laughter!
And instead of tears from pain
Her tears were red from joy
As I hugged the life out of her
Thanking God with a sigh of relief.

It's April Fools' Day
And I'd just been fooled!*

Evil Sleep! (Haiku)

Why does sleep haunt me
Only when I want to pray,
**Then and ONLY then!?!

It vanishes immediately afterwards. I think it's the enemy. Lord help me!

You gave me two
Yes! Your two *******!
And I suckled at will
Till my teeth got in the way
Parting me
From your protective *****
Against infant wills!

Patiently, you led me
Through my first tears
Through my first smiles
Through my first steps
Through my first words
Teaching me by example
To love, respect and trust!

No words can convey
The values you've bestowed
The sacrifices you've made
The pain you've endured
Your love, can no woman mimic
And though boys have become men
To you, a child I'll remain!*
