Jul 2014
you shatter like rain clouds,
heave like thunder,
feeling the lightning
trickle down the heaven
of your face
as you taste the ashes
of the promises they made

washing your mouth with wind,
your heart beats like a hurricane
and the monsoon in your mind
leaves your soul ashore
to feel the defiant lump
in your throat
sink once more

splinters of snow
blanket your bones
and an icy chill
remembers you spoke
nothing
**of forgiving seasons
