closing the gates,    one more time,
visitors out, it was deserted anyway
the heart has been put on the pedestal, gathering dust
been picked up several times only to be put back down
each time shabbier than before
a little scratch here
a little dirt there
wondering will the gates be opened again
should it
or whether the heart was worth the price
or will anyone finally take it home
and prize it highly
as every heart should
