There is a price to pay, I know not when;
the darkness falls and more but then:
forever will you walk alone,
Frightened, discarded, soaked to bone.
Bow your head and cross your hands,
close those eyes, dream of distant lands.
Away from shadow, far from harm,
I see you there for this is my alarm,
side by side yet miles apart,
we'll fight from soul and deep in heart.
You'll know the mourning deep inside,
search your world but far and wide,
waiting for that final race,
Where arms are thrown and hold embrace.
