you cradled me in your hands
just to crush me beneath your feet
like i was just some irksome ****
some helpless romantic blew
over the gate you keep

its funny
you always told me
dandelions are your favourite seed
well, i hate to break it to you, my sweet,
but dandelions are weeds
wild, unruly, iresome
wild, yes, but free

in my vulnerability you drew near
blew away my fear
i grew across your worlds
your unspoken wishes, heard

but one sweet, sorrowful day, you saw my tangled roots
over time, they had thickened
all tangled up in you
you tried so hard not to tremble
summer's cruellest truth

if you can't accept
the way my flowers cradle your heart
then you should have never spread those **** seeds
sorry, but you should be

oh, the way my petals fell
when they fell for you
tear each bloom apart
till only the stem stands still

you can ask a million questions
but it will always end the same

~"she loves me, she loves me not."~
well, i can't control the way i am
can't change the number to my name
and neither can you
i'm sure you'll see it someday.

someday.
someday you'll lay with him
upon a flowered field
he'll pick you a dandelion
you'll smile~ sweet, surreal
you raise it to the whims of the winds
eyes half closed, love, make a wish

a wish for dandelions
for scattered, yearning seeds
a wish for you
and an ache for me
