Poems
Aug 2023
the five stages of grief: depression
Tell me,
When did
Life get so heavy?
October, fall
Into the cold
Catacombs of winter
A tumultuous spring
That lead to
A searing summer
Seems everything
Around me is on fire
And I'm waiting
For someone
To douse the flames
And shake me
From this fever
I wonder
When the tides
Will change
Because I don't
Know how much
I can take
When I'm only living
Just to survive
It's like someone hit pause
And now I'm on life support,
Barely alive.
