Stubborn Madness

I wish he cared about me

and ourselves as a unit

I wish he was 20 years younger

I wish he was honest

I wish he was a tiny bit larger down under

It appears that

I am wishing for someone else

However, my thoughts insist on a version of him

conceived in my mind

a fictitious shadow that will never see the light
