It took her a little while
To get accustomed to the slow, empty roads
It reminded her of the olden times

The evenings were always busy
The traffic on the the road
Made it so

She sat in her vintage swing
Her gaze fixed, moved
As the traffic moved at a steady pace

Strangers
She in her vintage swing, her gaze fixed
Me in the passenger seat, waiting

She took notice of being noticed
Gave me a knowing smile
The traffic moved
An aged lady in her galley facing the main road
Watched her from the passenger seat of the car
