The river flowing on my cheeks
Is drowning out the sounds
Of the apocalypse
With just the right kind
Of crying music

I've got music to my tears
That flows whenever
The dam decides to burst

The guitar is an effortless stream
While the soft bass is the rhythm of my heart
Music to my tears
The brushstrokes of my art

The sound waves flow
Through the earbuds
Protruding from under my shirt
Sending calming endorphins
And lovely drugs for my brain

Music to my tears
For the worse of fears
