When the earth has cooled down,
And the un-promised rains has taken over
I took out a book from the upper shelf,
Which had an old, messy and teary cover.

I moved myself to the window corner of my bed,
And watched the rains making beads on my window shield.
The 'sad tree' had now let its fragrance widespread
Making my nostrils happy and aromatically filled.

“Wish I could send the smell through!”
I slid the lock screen and added to our recent conversation.
“Today, the sky is crystal blue.”
While my phone beeped, popping up a new notification.

I wrote to him that it was a boring evening with rains and thunder.
"Well, let's make your evening better!"
"How?" with him over there and me over here,
I couldn't help but only wonder.

Now the rain has stopped and the sun has set,
When he asked me on a virtual date.

I was delighted beyond express
Got up from the bed and put on a decent dress.
I rushed to my laptop and put the video cam on
The messy old book lay forgotten.

He wore a blue shirt complementing the hue of the sky
He looked at me intensely and I couldn't help but feel shy.
We talked, we laughed.
We sang, we smiled.

And I would let the time forever dwell
For I had my evening spent well.
I wanted to try writing a narrative poem, I wrote this just because I wanted to write. Completely fictional.
