Before I wake up and forget
I want to say something.
I thought I saw you last night;
Last night in a dream.

But you’re gone, and I know it.
I’ll forget you soon enough.
It’s just hard, everyday,
Acting happy and full of love.

In my dream I realized something;
How amazing you truly were.
I should’ve kept you close
To keep the future I prefer.

But what’s done is done and now you’re gone.
It’s not supposed to be this sad.
But maybe in my dream tonight
I’ll see you again at last.
