In the palm of my hand,
I had a dream and a reality
and both were you.

You put the brightest stars in my eyes,
The most wonderful constellations.
But little did I know I'd be blinded with how much they shined.

You made flowers grow in my lungs;
Roses, carnations and camellias.
They were beautiful, but they suffocated me all the same.

You gave my heart wings to soar,
To fly with a feeling so light.
They gave up nonetheless when I flew to to close to your Sun.

Stars cross, uncross then cross again.
Waves come to shore and back to sea.
Winds pass by over and over,
And clocks won't seem to ever stop.

You change and I remain.
You go and I stay.
And in the end, I'm alone again.
