I watch you smile for the last time
Your fragile heart is growing still
With tear soaked eyes
I place my lips upon your brow to say goodbye
One final breath and then you’re gone
I look to the sky about to see you off
Across the line your soul has passed
Through darkness into light
You take your place in galaxy of stars
And it fills my heart with loving joy as
You ascend to Heaven’s Gates above
Wrote this for a friend who’s grandmother has passed away.... imagining how she felt as she watched her loved one move on.
