Feb 2019
she embraced the ground
shoveling and shoveling.
a deeper hole it grew
tunneling and tunneling...

she dug a hole for years
for what she thought was right,
but it left her confused
in a cold, shivering fright...

alone in her thoughts
she has no one to talk to,
trapped in a giant hole
not knowing what to do.

she could try to keep shoveling
until she found the light
or she could turn around
to what she left behind...
