Apr 2018
flower petals softly fall
to land about my feet
and cover up the blood and tears
I know abide beneath
their soft pink silk
is pure and clean
before it hits the earth
but red with blood
and black with hate
as time plays out its curse
and I just watch in silent pain
as petals fall like snow
the blameless victims in a war
that lays our people low
