The desert road

Vulture eyes look down on me
And as I pass them by, I live and I breathe.
They are waiting in anticipation, just to feed their greed;
But that time is not too soon, in becoming an eventuality.

Onward I walk under the desert heat, with dancer’s feet;
There is no mistaken direction taken by me
And nobody to meet, on this sand-swept road.
No humanity to be heard in the distance and no water oasis to behold.
Just the sweat that pours down from my brow;
My glazed eye ***** cannot fail me now,
As I stare into the bright blue sky, searching for a cloud.

A Foreign Legion lies behind me in the distance;
I have left it all behind.
For I am a Prince in search of a Princess;
I am a scorpion upon the sand, no keeper of time.
In an hour glass I shook the sands of my life
And back to the front is the only way now.
The world is all mixed up in this barren time line.

I passed away a long time ago,
But on I wander and only I know,
How this arduous journey will end
And where I will find my relief.
For I have learned of my destiny,
From a mystic inside a tent,
My money spent,
My future has been told,
In exchange for two pieces of silver;
Pieces of eight, that have been made from gold.
So onward I walk, in search of a soulmate and salvation…

Along the desert road.
