Close your eyes
Don't acknowledge their gaze
Let sit the lies
In the middle of this haze

You wonder why it isn't meant to be
Why it isn't standing in sight
I wonder why it is you can't see
In the eternal light

Open your eyes
Don't acknowledge their gaze
Let sit the lies
In the middle of this haze

Why do you continue to cower
Are you blind
Only you have the power
To break their bind

Open you eyes
Hold them with your gaze
Let sit the lies
In the middle of this haze

They try to hide
With their own line
There is no side
Call it mine

Open you eyes
Hold them with your gaze
There will always be lies
In the middle of this haze

Everything gets blurry
In this room filled with air
You need to hurry
Out of this despair

Open your eyes
Hold them with your gaze
There will always be lies
With your desires entangled by the haze
Really, I just want to make a side comment here on how it sounded in my head while I wrote this. To me, it kind of sounds like a song. I just read it like that, and if you can, I would like you to try and read it like that too.
