Deserving Daughter
~
And sometimes I think about
The day your liver will finally give out.
I wonder...
If I were the one to donate a lobe;
To save your life,
Would I finally have done something right?
In your eyes,
Would I then be a deserving daughter?
Would you love and respect me the way you do my brother?
Or will it just be another piece of me that's missing?
